This is (hopefully soon-to-be-official) March Madness nominations thread. The point is to use a bracket system and put different heroes head-to-head for people to vote on who they think is better. Every 2 days, voting closes and we move up the bracket until we have a winner. The nominations will at least start the same way they did last year; nominate your favorite heroes from each brigade (up to eight of each brigade), ranking them in order of who you think is the best. The best eight from each brigade (including a "multi" brigade) will compete in Redemption March Madness. The reigning leader, Susanna, remains strong; can she hold the crown?

So, if you include multi Heroes as a separate brigade, then you'll have 72 Heroes in the bracket...how are you going to manage that? I would suggest doing top 7 from each brigade, then having one wildcard hero (or maybe two heroes could have a play-in match before the actual tournament). Whichever two heroes get the most votes out of the heroes who don't make the top 7 of their respective brigades.
Otherwise, you could keep it like last year and have multi characters be any of the brigades they have.

Bryon is taking over after the nomination process; I'm just making sure the nominations run smoothly and answer any questions that might arise. He is welcome to do multi however he wishes, since it's his pet, not mine.

Gabriel
Which Gabriel are you referring to? The one from from Disciples has a vastly different ability from the ones from Warriors and Kings.
Also if we need to get rid of the multi category, maybe we should have people place them in the brigade where they think they most belong. That's my suggestion on how we should do it anyay.
-
I don't think it really matters which Gabriel; he's not going to make it far enough to really matter (he might win his first round, maybe the second, definitely not the third), so I'm not too concerned about it. Regarding multi-heroes, I like Prof A's suggestion that we'll take the top seven of any brigades affected by it, probably by what brigade a character is most used as (Zeke would be Green, Sam would be Gold, Joseph would be Blue, etc).
-
I think Seven Sons of Sceva should fall in the Orange Brigade of ECs (when we get to that), and there could be some heroes that would also work like that.
-
I disagree. I think I should be able to vote for Joseph in both brigades and if he gets enough votes he can be in both brigades.

So you want Samuel to win both Gold and Green? Because I think that is exactly what would happen they were allowed to be in both brigades, and while I don't necessarily think that would be a bad thing, personally I'd like to see a different card represent each brigade.

Besides no one would vote for SSoS as a crimson EC. But considering that he has CBN ability to turn into any other Orange brigade demon and takes out the artifact that would completely destroy an Orange defense (and can be pulled out of your deck by Unknown Nation), he might have a chance in voting on Orange.

Disagree. This is only a problem for somebody who uses your voting system. Just because a card is a different brigade than it's theme doesn't make it worthless. SSS is still a great card to assist orange brigade, but it is still categorized by it's brigade (which is a much better way of categorizing things than themes).
Does it really matter what brigade Uzzah is? No. He's optimized by being able to use Plot, but if we remove the category barrior, he'll be in every single category because he fits with every single defense.
-
SSoS has no chance against Nebuchadnezzar or KoT in either case.

Thank you Andrew for opening my eyes on the wonders of this card.

For White, I nominate the John Earley custom card.
-
So OP it had to be banned. Helped propel a deck to 2nd place at the largest T12P in recent history.
-
Let's ban John Earley the person. He doesn't even know how to play. Some koala plays for him.

Going with a fez this year.

Thank you all for your nominations. The nominations are now closed. Polls are starting now!
I plan to post about 4 new polls per day. So, check back daily for the next batch. If you miss a day or two, don't worry; each poll will remain open for 3 days.
Also, please comment on why you think hero X is better than hero Y. You may point out a facet of a hero that is yet undiscovered by some of the other players on the boards.
