Hi everyone! I am new here, and wanted to play in the online tournaments, but nether of the the programs that are suggested work on my OS.(Linux mint to be exact) So my question is: is there a way for me to still play in the tournaments or is there a work around for my problem? Thanks!

WINE is reported to work under Linux mint. Have you tried installing LackeyCCG to run under WINE as suggested on the Lackey site? If not, then you might try that.

I have tried that, and it sends me to a page with the error: "CAN'T FIND FONTS". I have had bad experiences with WINE.  Saying something works with WINE is like saying that Linux programs work on windows. WINE is flawed. I can't use it for anything because it rarely works with anything. I am not trying to sound angry, I just am very frustrated with my current results. Sorry for being so blunt, but that's how it is for me. Do you have any more ideas?

Given that RTS is a Windows-only application that has not been actively developed in teh ten years I have been playing Redemption, my main suggestion would be that you ask support questions for the LackeyCCG application on the LackeyCCG forums.

The general install tutorial is titled [FIx/Tutorial] How to run LackeyCCG on Linux (Ubuntu at least), and can be found http://www.lackeyccg.com/forum/index.php?topic=2099.0

I do not know if it will help, but when I did a search for "linux fonts" on the LackeyCCG forums, I found a thread Lackey on Ubuntu "Fonts are missing". Given that mint is ubuntu compatible, that may be of use. The link is http://www.lackeyccg.com/forum/index.php?topic=2122.msg16100#msg16100.

Yay!

If you have a chance, would you be willing to do a write up of what you needed to do to get this working to help future players get set up?

This doesn't need to be incredibly detailed. It just needs to give enough hints to give someone a fighting chance at figuring this out on their own.

Thanks.

Where would you want the how-to when I am done with it? I may even do a video for it too, if I can find the time.

If it would fit, you can just post it on the boards and I can link to let others find it.  You could also send me a PM and I'll get an e-mail address you can use to forward it to me.
