Dear Friends,
I am curious why the Redemption Elders decided to add special abilities to the lost soul cards. Does this have any biblical reasoning behind it?
From my understanding of the Scriptures, Spiritual gifts are given to believers (after they become born again), not before. So, it doesn't really make sense (to me) for lost souls to have special abilities.
Was this just added to make the game more complex?
Thank you & God bless,
Eric M.

The special abilities on Lost Souls are not necessarily "gifts" but rather ways for Lost Souls to interact with other cards.
For example, some Lost Souls have restrictions on how they can be rescued (the "Female Hero only" Lost Soul). This can represent the fact that not every Lost Soul can be reached in the same way.
Other Lost Souls give a player a reward for rescuing them (other than being closer to winning) such as the "Rejoice" Lost Soul that lets each player draw a card.
Keep in mind, special abilities are not equal to spiritual gifts. Artifacts, Sites, Fortresses and Evil Characters have special abilities but those certainly would not be things that would have spiritual gifts. A special ability on a Hero (such as Peter's ability to heal Heroes) can be tied in to a spiritual gift, but more often special abilities are tied in to the story of the character.

Guardian,
That makes sense.
Thanks.
