I had a quick question that I was hoping to have help with. I'm going to be playing in a tournament tomorrow and I have a question before I add these to my deck. If I have a card like Ruth from the new starter and I play transfiguration on her and grab the gold Moses with the 'Play by the numbers' rule on it, how does that apply to the banding that transfiguration would add?
Do they band and nothing else can be played?
Do they not band and Ruth remains out for the rescue attempt?
Can someone help me with this? =]
Please and thank you!

Tranfiguration is CBN, so Moses would not negate it. Anything that could be negated would be (like if you had a Ruth banding chain started), but Tranfiguration, Moses, and whoever was leftover in battle after any other bands were negated will stay.

So if I had a huge Ruth chain going and transfig'ed then they would still all stay banded?
-
No because the banding on the Ruth cards from the I/J starter decks is not "cannot be negated" or "cannot be interrupted". Transfiguration would negate the banding so only the initial Hero presented (and Moses himself) would remain in battle.

Just to clarify, h20tor, Transfiguration says that it "Cannot be Negated" (CBN), therefore Moses cannot negate the band from that card. Bands from other cards that do not say "Cannot be Negated" would be negated by Moses.

While we are on the topic of Transfiguration I would like to add that you cannot play transfiguration as a negate in special initiative situations (when your heroes are being discarded or something) because you are only allowed to play card that negates or interrupts . This was confusing to me in the first years of playing the game because in situations where I wanted to bring in Moses to negate enhancements that were discarding me. Just thought I would share.
