These souls are so versatile and immediate.. Lawless then imitate Lawless for a few turns has a very strong snowball effect
Inspired by JD's post about weapons, I thought I'd start one for Lost Souls. What do you think are the top 3 Lost Souls in the game?I've always felt that the "Wanderer" is among the elite Lost Souls. It was almost necessary post Liner ban, but still seems essential in the post Liner world because it fits in the O.T. theme and takes a lot of the top "meta" souls from the opponent. If you can remember to trigger the "Dull" soul it will net you some valuable defense. Unless your opponent has played SoG and TSC already don't rely on the character you get for the current battle. A CBN/CBI Enhancement is going to be a reliable grab though.I'm torn between "Covet" and "Prosperity" for the last spot. Both are extremely valuable and will make the cut in almost every deck I build. One reason both of them are great is that you get the benefit immediately. They don't suffer from the need to remember triggers, upkeep effects or hurt you if stolen by the "Wanderer".
I wonder if anyone has caught the significant detail regarding the Wanderer LR...
Think Peyton Manning
Xonathan mentions the detail in the other thread though he didn't necessarily spell it out completely...

I'm guessing the significant detail is that the "wanderer" is the 18th LR so now we have a range of books from I Samuel to Ezekiel that LR's 15,16, and 17 can be from.
Back on topic...I have a hard time seeing Imitate as a top 3 LS. Yes, it’s really good at times in combination with certain souls but it does nothing of value on its own. It becomes even less valuable as decks include fewer N.T. Lost Souls. It may have been top 3 prior to FoM. It might still be top 7 in the FoM meta.
