Title: stand alone?
Post by: cookie monster on April 06, 2012, 02:54:09 PM
What is the definition of "sand alone", I would call most of the defenses I see "stand alone" because they aren't inside of any other defense.
     What is your perspective?

In Redemption, standalone defenses tend to be small (no more than 10 cards usually), and they don't subscribe to a specific theme.

In addition to what Chronic said, Stand alones usually benefit the offense in some way with drawing or Soul generation, like with Sabbath Breaker, A Slave, Vitellius, ect.

Stand alone refers to a defense made up of characters who are goo based on their abilities alone, separate from enhancements.  That's why KoT, and Uzzah are so popular becasue they don't really need support.
