Off-hand, what silver enhs are there that can ITB, besides Striking Herod and Protection of Angels?

Shoutout to Lackey for being an excellent and quick way to find this kind of information. Just put in Brigade contains: "Silver" and Special Ability contains: "Interrupt".

Thanks but I was just about to go to bed when I asked that, that's why I said "off-hand." :)

Thanks for the responses all. I think silver could use a couple of more ITB.  :2cents:

Is it just me or are there hardly any silver enhs that are CBP or CBN?

TSA and Captain of the Host probably account for a large absence of CBP or CBN enhancements.

Moses also negates everything but there are plenty of CBN and CBP enhs to play with the older or newer version. And that's my point. I would want to use CBP/CBN enhs on Captain and TSA.

i called for at least one silver itb in the new set but it was determined to be unnecessary :p considering i saw next to no angels in the competitive rings of nationals i would say it could definitely use a few more itbs and prolly a few more characters who contribute directly to speed rather than only power if we want mono silver to be a competitive offense. even the angels in roj are typically take 1s(great take 1s but lack luster in some cases without itbs or ram's horn to back them up). that being said the new tsa is incredible and tsa/captain are historically boss. we definitely know that silver is powerful, not sure it is top tier on it's own at the moment though.

i don't really know of any cases where angels themselves rescue lost souls so maybe that is kind of the reason why.. as in they aren't meant to be stand alone?

While Silver lacks a bit in power (CBN), it certainly got a ton of versatility in RoJ.

Also, The Third Seal from Warriors is a thing.  8)

Definitely agree on the versatility but I am really surprised that between all of the expansions since Unlimited that there are barely any CBP, CBN, or ITB enh on silver enhs compared to all of the other brigades. It just seems off balance to me.

As for the old Third Seal, I have to disagree as it really doesn't directly affect the battle. The new one, however, is a crazy good card.

Warriors Third Seal is a beneficiary of poor wording - it doesn't say the discarded ECs have to be controlled by the player that chooses to discard it - or even be in territory.  The Play As on the wiki is wrong.

Angels have stronger heroes on average than other brigades. They're also inherently protected from some of the common battle winning abilities (convert and many captures). The silver enhancements have been strategically designed to help balance the other strong factors that silver possesses. Besides, it would be boring if every brigade was identical wouldn't it?

If any brigade needs more solid interrupts it's teal.

Silver and Blue are the only brigades to have a "make everything CBN" guy and a conditionless FbtN character (not to mention another FbtN character for Silver who is arguably better than straight FbtN). Both brigades lack ITB and conditionless CBN for that reason, and it is appropriate. Silver also has a play-first weapon that said CBN dude can hold and more support than any other brigade. While it is true that they currently sit in a place that makes them difficult to play (huge power, huge versatility, low speed, low negation), I also didn't see anyone even trying to play the strongest Silver deck at Nationals. That being Job.

*EDIT* Correction, I did see one guy playing Job but his defense was all over the place so it detracted from the power of the offense.

It wasn't Aidan was it? He runs a Job deck, but it's defense is pretty straight forward brown with a little orange support.

Honestly I don't remember a ton about that game or who my opponent was. What I took away was "man, Job's powerful but that defense is all over the place!" I do vaguely remember there being a lot of brown and orange in there so it may have been.

Good points. I'm not saying, however, that all brigades need to be identical. I'm saying that I think there should at least be a few CB or ITB cards. Some brigades have more than others. I'm just saying I think silver needs only a few to add to its arsenal since there are barely any.

What brigade are you comparing to exactly? Between Striking Herod, Protection of Angels and Swift Beings you have 3 different ItB cards that can win a battle in various ways.

Probably White, Purple or Clay... or the major evil brigades. I still say Swift Beings should get some update though.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game
