Can I use a set aside enhancement in my preparation phase? Or can I only play it during a battle challenge/ rescue attempt?

You can use a set aside enhancement during preparation or discard phase if it targets your characters. The only exceptions to this are territory-class set asides which can be played during prep or discard regardless of who they set aside.

This is news to me... Man, it's hard to keep up with this stuff sometimes! Now I realize I can finally do stuff with my extra characters that are chilling out in territory with nothing to do  !!

Ok, so, I have a few more questions... how do Curses work? Do they work the same way? And exactly how do Territory class enhancements work? Can I just lay them down in the Prep phase and they take immediate action, then I discard them?

Territory-class cards work like set aside or heal cards in that you can play them during prep or discard phase. You still need a character of matching brigade in territory to activate them on. Unless they specify otherwise (some say to place them somewhere) they activate and are discarded immediately. You can also play TC enhancements in battle like normal enhancements, following rules of initiative.
Curses are the evil version of Covenants and work the same was as those. If you don't know what Covenants are either, I'm sure someone can explain that. :P

I know what covenants are... just not how they work :P lol! Thank you for the input.

Basically, Curses and Covenants allow you to choose whether you want to use them as artifacts or enhancements. If you decide artifacts, you put them in and activate them from the artifact pile like normal artifacts. If you decide enhancements, you play them in battle when you have initiative like normal enhancements.
Also, if curses or covenants have "may be used twice" or other number of uses restrictions those only apply when used as artifacts.

Thank You very much!
