RoA pattern?

Okay, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but there's a pattern in the 4 demons from RoA:

The Winged Lion        5/6      Daniel 7:4
The Bear                  7/8      Daniel 7:5   Discards Winged Lion
The Winged Leopard   9/10    Daniel 7:6   Discards Bear
The Terrifying Beast   11/12   Daniel 7:7   Discards Winged Leopard

Most of you have probably already noticed this, but I just wanted to point it out to those who haven't.

wow, they determined abilities by the order they appeared in verse?

...kind of stupid if you ask me.

They don't do that for all, this was just an easter egg

It's actually a bit deeper than that. The Babylonians (Winged Lion) were overthrown by the Persians (The Bear) who were overthrown by the Greeks (Winged Leopard) who were overthrown by the Romans (Terrifying Beast). It's literally a history lesson of the exile to the birth of Christ.

i can understand that. but i said abilities, not special abilities. going 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 seems pretty half-witted to me.

It's a representation of each nation being stronger than the next. If you can't figure that out, I don't think you should be calling people half-witted. :P

i dont think you can spell it out any bigger than saying 'hey, discard that ec when this ec comes into play' to represent a nation being stronger than another.

In the case of a fbtn side-battle, I think it would be important for the The Terrifying Beast to defeat The Winged Leopard by the numbers in order to keep history in tact.

Also, you think those are "stupid".... then how about:

Two Bears / Jeering youths. (4/2)
He is Risen. (3/3)
Generous Widow (2/2)
etc...

Yeah, it's almost as wacky as numbering the Star Wars films in the order they happened... ?!?

Glad to see some people can count. Appleton WI doesn't have the number streets in order.

I think it's clever. It doesn't have to be really metaphorical; it's a card game.

There's some (semi-)clever ability irony all over the place.
