With the new Gabriel the REG says his ability is this: Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Silver • Ability: 10 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Search discard pile for a good Luke Enhancement and shuffle it into deck to protect Luke Heroes from capture and discard. • Play As: Search discard pile for a good Luke Enhancement and return it into deck to protect Luke Heroes from capture and discard.

But i hav the new Gabriel and his ability says this:

Search discard pile for a good Luke enhancement and add it to hand. You may remove it from the game to protect Gabriel from discard and capture.

Wow, Nice catch.

The special ability that was printed on Gabriel was from an older version of the list. He started out with a completely different ability - I actually proposed the one that he was printed with, but in a list after that it was changed to what the REG has. I suspect Rob didn't change the text on Gabriel before it was uploaded to the printers.

I think i like the REG version better.

Well, do I have to remove one enhancement from the game per game, or once per protection?

A fun use for the new Gabriel is spamming protection for Samson in a Silver/Judges deck.

That is what you spam.  Birth Foretold is a Luke enhancement.  Gabriel gets it back.  You can go every other turn with a protected Samson.  Or, if you Gather one of those two heroes, and band them together, you can go every turn with a protected Samson.  

So, which is the actual/correct/legal/playable effect, the printed one or the REG one?
