Title: Redemption Branded cardsleeves and deckboxes?
Post by: ebridge on October 15, 2009, 01:43:39 PM
Do these exist at all?  If they don't, would a lot of you be interested in these being produced?  Has this ever been considered/tried?

I thought it would be neat if they made card sleeves of every brigade color, and the artwork on each color would be the most popular and/or best artwork Hero/EC in that brigade.  You could do the same thing with deckboxes.  The ROA tins work fine as deckboxes, but the FOOF tins, after adding sleeves, are hard to get cards out of.

I thought of this because of recent posts and also when I went to purchase something for Brederic's birthday at a local gameshop recently.  I like decksleeves with designs/art on them, but practically EVERY set of sleeves and also deck-boxes in the store was something from either Magic the Gathering, World of Warcraft, or Yu-gi Oh (sp?).

For casual play I have a deck of every brigade color, and it would just be neat if I could have Silver sleeves with Michael or Captain on them for my angels deck, and so forth.  It would also be a neat way to mess with your opponents by having your blue Genesis deck in the red "Abishai" sleeves :)

I wouldn't say "most." Probably at least as many use Dragon Shield.

Raven,

Is there a website for these options?  I would like to invest in some too.  Also, can anyone tell me if there is somewhere that you could personalize decksleeves with say like photos of loved ones or something else?......deckboxes as well

There used to be a website...but it disappeared...not sure why...maybe not enough business?

"All of us practically use Ultra Pro Deck Boxes" is quite an exaggeration. Here's the checked decks table at Nationals 2008:

There are some, yes, but far less than the majority.

I don't know of a place that sells personalized sleeves or boxes, and if that did exist, I imagine the service would be quite expensive. You can look at the offerings at ArtsCow (http://www.artscow.com/diy/cat0104) and see if anything is good enough for a deck box though.

Many players use the zip deck cases that Roy started selling. More expensive than a deck box, but a great way to hold your deck and keep your new promo card from getting mixed in. It also will hold a few dice or markers.

I suspect Redemption tins are also popular. I not only use tins for my decks, but for my Dragon Dice armies. A 36-health army with all support dice fits with room to spare. :)

But if Cactus has rights to the artwork for the cards, why have they not thought of using it on card sleeves and deckboxes?  Is it assumed that there would not be enough interest?

You are a man who knows his pants.

The album (http://picasaweb.google.com/theschizm/RedemptionNationals#) has several more pictures with you in it, although I don't know how many have your pants. I'll leave it at that.

I like how Tim's Magic sleeves are right in the middle of the front row. Cracks me up.

Yes that would be awseme. But I wouldnt see why you would want more sleeves you have thousands!
