I second this question.  I've got interest in hosting a Local tournament on a Friday night and a District tournament on the following Saturday so that we can get both The Watchman and Paul.  I just need to know when these will be available   :P

I don't think they've gone to print yet (but I believe they will be soon, that's why they're able to be previewed) so presumably they won't premier for at least a month.

Hopefully an Elder catches this question and can answer it for us!

Excellent question! I don't have an official answer but I can give you a pretty good idea based on what I know.

We're previewing the promos this week and allowing players to catch anything we might have missed. After that Cactus Game Design will send them to print which can take a few weeks. My best guess is that they will be in Rob's hands by early April. If you send in an application now requesting the new promos for a tournament in May or later there's a very good chance they will be available to you. I imagine Rob will update the tournament application when he has the new promos in hand too.

that's cool. Now I just need to find a tournament around so I can get them when they finally come out.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

This makes me wonder...  Would Rob ever be willing to test an electronic tournament via Lackey?  Obviously there would need to be planning for this, and limitations would be needed.  It would probably only work for Local Tournaments, and players should probably be limited to 1 or 2 electronic tournaments per year.  But it would be a huge opportunity for those of us that don't have local playgroups.

The "host" could be on Lackey not playing games.  At the beginning of the tournament, the host would set up a game and each T1 player would join the game 1 at a time (no spectators allowed) and "check in their deck" by loading it and having the host sort it out.  During games, the other players could "whisper" their ruling questions to the host in the general chat area so that other players don't see potential spoilers about decks.  Both players would report the results to the host, and once all players confirm, the host records the results and sets up the next round's matchups.  Booster draft could be done for free, although no one would get any cards.

This is just off the top of my head, and I'm sure others will think of potential problems with this.  Payment of tourney fees would still need done ahead of time, and distribution of promos would not be quite as easy.

Multiplayer is a bit messy on lackey, but i really like this idea!

In a sense I wouldn't mind, but I've also been itching to go to real tournaments too.

If enough people were interested, I would be willing to "host" an unofficial tournament such as this. Decklists could be submitted prior to the event for checking.

We could start as an unofficial tournament (no fees, but no promos or prizes) and then if it worked out alright, we could go from there.

Yes, it would likely have to be a Saturday in order to be feasible for most people.

I think this would very important service for some players that don't have access to tournaments in their area.

If you play on Lackey, as long as your opponent is ok with it, you can always proxy cards.

If you mean for an unofficial Lackey tournament, I think all players including the host would have to be in agreement about it.
