Post by: TDK on April 11, 2010, 10:51:54 AM
Would Glory of the Lord protect Z'Temple?

Nothing on ZT or Glory of the Lord says anything about that working...However, people were trying to rule that ZT, ST, HT and The Tabernacle are all the same unique fortress...

i think it would make sense if it did protect it

It would make sense, but so would ruling that captured demons can't be redeemed. :)

It wouldn't even make sense. The Glory of the Lord departed the original temple before it was destroyed, then the temple was destroyed, then the temple was rebuilt, but the Glory of the Lord never came back. That's why they didn't make it say something like The Tabernacle.

 +1

The GotL never appeared in ZT or HT.  I also Disagree that ST, HT, ZT, and the Tabernacle are all the same unique fortress.  That would not even make sense.

More sense than being able to have them in play at the same time?

I thought that was put on the card to keep combo's in check.  I was never under the impression that they were considered the same unique fortress.

look in the bible, they are not the same meeting place.

(Here are the original meeting places in chronological order! ;D)

1. Tabernacle: was a movable tent that housed the ark of the covenant and was a place of sacrifice and worship while the israelites were concouring the holy land.

2. Solomon's Temple: David wanted to build the temple but GOD said no because he was a man of war. GOD choose solomon to build the temple. solomon was the son of bathsheeba so GOD had a purpose after David sinned. anyway, solomon built a permenant place of worship till it was destroyed and ransaked by the babylonians.
(which didn't turn out well for the babs considering their leader {belshazzar} drank from the temple goblets and ended up dead.  :o)

3. Zerubabel's Temple: Haggai and Zerubabel were ready to re-build the temple after the exile (or return) from babylon. Haggai was the prophet and Zerubabel was a faithful worker for GOD. they rebuilt the temple and in doing so made one of the most awesomest cards in redemption history! (i love this card!!!! ;D)

well. that's about it! enjoy! ;)

Shouldn't they be considered the same unique fortress then?

If Herod's Temple was a fortress I'd agree with you :)

Well, it could be someday. So it might be a question worth asking.

Nah, So many other better cards to print first. The playtesters would be silly to print another temple just for the sake of having it be biblically acurate.
