If we get Martyrs in Red, Apostles in Green, and Deacons in Blue, every Good Brigade will have both an N.T. and O.T. theme (except Silver and Teal for obvious reasons).

For Evil, every Brigade already has two or more themes (except Orange for obvious reasons). Now we just need to add more cards to the current themes, as well as misc. cards (being too themed-obsessed takes away some of the diversity of deckbuilding).

So if those seven Giants that I mentioned were printed, they would be Philistine?!?
Oh my gosh, what are you, like 10? Oh yeah...
o_O

All I'm saying is that if those seven Giants I mentioned were printed, they would have to have a new theme.

Exactly! That's what I've been saying: There aren't enough giants to make a whole new theme, so let's not print any at all, or if we do, let's splash them around multiple brigades as miscellaneous cards.

He actually is required to be at least 13. If he is under that, his account is techinically illegal.

The existing giants are already splashed around a lot. The only Brigades that don't have giants are Pale Green and Orange. But I don't see why they couldn't be a mini-theme like Herods. There aren't that many Herods in the Bible either, but as only about 20 at most cards of a certain alignment get into decks anyway there don't need to be a ton.

But I think Cactus' ultimate goal for Redemption is to have lots of different choices of cards for every theme, so that not all same-theme offenses/defenses have the same cards. Evil giants would have no future unless they were scattered, which is being avoided now anyway.

As far as I can see, Cactus has started making themes for everybody in the Bible.

Well, yes and no. The two new themes this set were Herods and Magicians. However, that was likely because Pale Green and Gold only had one theme. Now, everything has two so there is no more need on defense.

As long as they can be found in the Bible, okay, but no more extra-Biblical characters.

Why not? People not being mentioned in the Bible does not mean they didn't exist. We've already established a willingness to print "extra"-Biblical characters using Josephus as a source text, and eventually we're going to run out of "Biblical" characters to print.

As Bap7 said, that will not be anytime soon. I disagree with the characters with references from Josephus, and even worse, characters like St. Patrick who weren't even alive in Bible times. Redemption is supposed to be a Bible-based card game. There are certainly enough verses in the Bible to make new character and event cards for quite a while, and I don't think we need to go digging through other sources to find more ideas.

With the exception of Patric, Soldier of God, and a lot of the Angel Wars business (which is the non-bible bit I have the most problem with), the non-Bible characters are people who had a lot to do with the events that unfold in the Bible, but are just not mentioned specifically by name. I don't have a problem with the Emperors at all. Just, please, no more cartoon imps?

nothing, if you want the same thing recycled over and over and over...

reprints are ok, but in small doses. keep the game fresh with new ideas to pique interest...not oversaturate it with the same concepts.
