Cactus Game Design Message Boards

Are there enough cards now for an exclusively philistine defense?  I was assuming it would be black.  Why aren't there black versions yet of Lahmi, Saph and Ishbibenob?  Weren't they Philistines?

My point is that I really like how they're strengthening the black Philistine option, but how many evil characters are there in this defense?  If there are less than 6 or 7 it really doesn't seem viable yet, in my opinion.  Please advise.  Thanks!

I have a deck that has worked rather well, with all but two of my seven evil characters as black Philistines. The other two are Simon the Magician and Lot's Wife. It has TFG, Armorbearer, Philistine Priests (incredibly useful card in many situations--negate Chariot before playing Wrath of Satan? Yes please.), Fallen Warrior, and Philistine Garrison. Four of those five are generic, which means they are recurrable with Outpost. I used to have Goliath in there, but he got the axe when I cut it down to 56.

So one could definitely put Lahmi, Saph, and Ishy in a deck if desired. Including Ashdod makes it so they can even use many of the good black enhancements. Also, don't forget Delilah if you want to add a bit more variety, and maybe include some nice brown site lock cards to go along with the already strong black site-lock cards for Phillies.

Yeah but then it would spread your enhancements out and then you would have to play different colors on different people. I have a philly defense and the only splash i have is KoT. Mine has Philly Garrison, 12FG, Philly Armor-Bearer, Fallen Warrior, Philly Priest, King Amon and Manasseh. It works really well. XD
