Title: Ordering cards online
Post by: ACe on May 08, 2015, 08:36:53 AM
Has anyone ever had trouble with USPS? I ordered from ThreeLionsGaming.com and it was supposed to be here yesterday. now it says there was a delay and that it will update me with new Delivery time. I was really hoping to get the new trial deck to start teaching my friends tonight.

I sent a package of Lost Souls and other stuff to someone in December through USPS.  It arrived in March.  Still no clue what happened, sometimes things just get delayed.

I've never had an issue getting anything from TLG, though, so hopefully they get there soon.

It just updated and said its in my town and out for Delivery! I know its not your fault, just sometimes I wish we had places that sold Redemption in stores.  Just easier sometimes to go buy it there. Hopefully when I get my playgroup going we can make orders through TLG or finds a store.

Has anyone ever had trouble with USPS?

Excuse me while I try to control my laughter for this question. Let me give you recent examples of USPS troubles:

1. My local carrier frequently delivers my mail to my neighbors and vice versa. Luckily for me I have honest neighbors.  ;)
2. I received a white bubble envelope that had tire tracks on it. When I opened the package, the video game I had ordered from eBay was crushed.
3. I received a first class package that took two days to get from Arizona to Florida. Shortly afterward, I received a Priority Mail package that took two weeks to get from Georgia to Florida.
4. For Redemption specifically, I remember a time that I was waiting weeks for a trade to arrive. In my mailbox there was a plastic bag that had a shredded envelope and my cards in a toploader. The bag had the USPS logo and a message that said the envelope had been ripped in their automatic sorters. They had to piece the envelope together to recreate my address.

If you're looking for selection TLG and Cactus are the way to go. If you are looking for a store, I'd recommend the Christian bookstore I've been getting redemption there for years. You can usually create your own sales through coupons, however, lately I've noticed the best packs they carry are Disciples and to my knowledge don't carry TEC. If you're looking for singles they won't have them though.

I dont think any local Christian stores carry Redemption. And I have done trades with Uthminister out side of Redemption I believe. I was more curious as to what kinda problems You all have had with USPS.

I was specifically referring to Family Christian stores. I don't know if you have one in your area, but they advertise redemption cards (select packs and tins), and every one I've been to consistently carries redemption back where they keep toys and games.
For postal troubles the worst I've had is a ripped or mangled magazine here and there.

I once had a trade come in with the envelope stamped with a red stating that it was legal to be delivered. I had alot of mail(via trades) come in that week and my guess is they thought it was drugs or something.

To be fair, unless marked and paid as non-machineable, envelopes will always go through the automatic sorters. A disaster for online card trading.

I had something that was Redemption and out of print I bought on e-bay, and it never arrived.  My mail is regularly delivered to my neighbors, and they are not honest.  Thankfully I had paypal protection and was able to get my money back; however, soon after I got a mailbox at UPS.

I don't lose mail that way anymore.  I really haven't had much as for disaster through the mail.

Equally fair to note that the USPS actually made the effort to figure out my address and still deliver the cards. Since the sender had used the toploader, the cards were not damaged.  ;D
