I don't see that happening.

Wa-wa-wa...  ;)

Ironically, this is what I find frustrating these days. You shouldn't have had to add that last line to make it clear that you were joking. I knew exactly what you meant, and it was hilarious. You knew what I was getting at, as I was implying disappearing. Times have changed, I guess.  :-\

Id like to ask why anything I said in this thread warranted a warning from the mods? I was merely pointing out a pun by YMT. Really confused.

This actually ties into my above post. They thought you were complaining about my complaining, when neither of us was actually complaining. My puns have not been working lately, so everyone thinks I'm David Banner (you know my secret if you watched Avengers). Whoever gave you a warning may have thought you were being Tony Stark in the lab.  ;)

You didn't get warned for this thread. If you want to know about your warning and didn't receive a message about it, it'd be more productive to message one or all of the global mods. I checked your warning history and I know why you were warned. I did not issue it.

A couple of questions:
    1. Your (kooky) profile says MI.  Is that where the camp is as well?  (If so, then Ron Sias lives in MI and could be a great resource in addition to YMT.)
    2.  Is your camp in MI as well?  If not, then what state?  (I'm thinking that maybe a nearby experienced player can swing by to judge/counsel and not play, in addition to YMT.)
    3. After this camp...mistakes at tournaments are forgivable, after all the game was made for fun and fellowship, you could connect with several experienced players to help you through the nuances of the game (in addition to YMT) when you get home.  I started teaching my sons the game when they were in late1st/early 2nd grade.
    4. Can you write down exact difficult terms to ask about in this thread* so that we can help?

* I would ask all board members to try to remember back when they first started before typing reply answers.  Sometimes, we can forget how institutionalized we have become.

1. Yes I live in Michigamn
2. Yes the camp is in Michigan, it's called Brown City Missionary Church Camp.
3. I don't see where I ever said I am a new player. I've been playing Redemption for 10 YEARS. Those of us who have played this game for a long time are having difficulties teaching the newbies how to play with the new rules while we ourselves are getting used to the new wording of the cards. READ EVERYTHING ugh!

And also, every 50 cards you are allowed 1 dominant card. And since the kid had 105 cards in his deck he was allowed two Son of God cards. He had used one already, we were both tied 4/4 and he used Son of God to get his last lost soul. Another rule for our tournament that we've been using for the past 9 years is we don't allow sites.

It's simply the reality of communicating via written text in a public forum. Not everyone's going to catch the subtle jokes and instead think someone is being mean. If we were chatting in person and I used that line on you, you know I'd be trying to keep a straight face and then laugh or grin when I couldn't hold it anymore--so that's why I used the smiley.  :P

It seems we have misunderstanding of the rules. You get 1 of A dominant card per no matter how large the deck is. And you can also have as many dominants as lost souls per deck.

My brothers and I played for several years before we realized what some rules actually meant and discovered some rules that we didn't even know existed. Now that you are a member here on the forum, hopefully we can help you (and by extension your playgroup) to have a better understanding of rules that you are unsure about. That's a major part of why this forum exists :)

I've been playing for over 15 years and there's still some rules that confuse me so don't feel bad at all  :P

It's always ironic to see the Elders/Playtesters start a thread in Ruling Questions.  ;)

But they never fail to zealously point out all of the nuances of any ANB questions.  ;D
Final ANB errata: Return player to game.
