Minnesota's Redemption Mini Camp

Hello All,

In just a few weeks, I will be running a Redemption Mini Camp at our church in Lakeville, MN. This is the same church that will be hosting the State Tournament on June 15-16, Cross of Christ Community Church. I will be running mini camp during the Mon-Thurs of that week, the 11-14th, from 1-4pm each day. The address of the church is 8748 210th St W., Lakeville, MN 55044.

I am looking for a couple of experienced players who may be willing and available to come in during the week and help teach kids how to play as well as things like strategy and deck-building. Even if you can only come for one or two days, your help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are interested and available, please send an email to cofcccyouth@gmail.com. Per church policy, I will need you to fill out a quick application form for volunteers (which I can send you via email) and then have a simple interview with me, which could be done live or over the phone. I promise, it's a painless process. :)

Thank you!

It's not much, but I will give a free pack of Fall of Man to anyone who helps out (1 per day you volunteer).  8)

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

THE REDEMPTION MN BOOT CAMP LIVES ON!!!

And to imagine that someone who was barely 13 when I first met her at Nats 2006 is now a mom who has taken on an amazing task of letting Wild Bill's tradition live on! KUDOS to you Britta!

Prayers up for yet another successful legendary MN Redemption boot camp! May it produce fruits especially adults who can add to the MN caravan of drivers as they trek south of the Redemption gaming central vertebrae for Nats 2018. Travel mercies in advance, ya'll!

Peace and Blessings!

I am happy to report that Mini Camp was a delightful success!

We had 5 returning students as well as 4 new students, all invited by friends. The new students were especially excited to learn the game. The mom of one student told me that he said, "This is the best camp I've ever been to." Praise the Lord for such a fun way for kids to practice life skills like reading, math, and sportsmanship all while learning about the stories of the Bible. I consider it a joy to be able to carry on the torch of developing Minnesota's famed RLKs.

The most amazing part of the week was that all the students memorized Romans 3:23-24. Nearly every student could say the verse word-perfect without help by this afternoon. It's amazing what packs of Redemption cards can motivate kids to do.  8)

Thanks to those who helped out (Guardian and Soundman) and to those who prayed for us from afar. Your prayers were felt!

Now for one of the funnier moments of the week:
Kids brought money to buy extra packs. One of the new students bought a blue pack. His friend said, "Don't buy those; they're not very good." To which the boy buying the pack responded, "Yeah, but I might get the only banned card!" I'm not in favor of the ban on Lost Souls, but that comment cracked me up.
