Hello all!
I am new to the game and looking to get started. I'm torn between ordering the new I/J starter, or the G/H starter gift set that includes the extras (boosters and what not). Obviously the gift set seems like the better bargin, but are the I/J cards noticeably better?
I appreciate any and all help and or advice.
Thanks!

I/j hands down are better. Several top quality characters, and evil Enhancments plus access to the reprint of Son of God and the dominant vain philosophy.

Agreed with jbeers285 - I/J is the cleanest, most balanced set of starters out there. The gameplay is smoother and easier to grok than G/H. From there, you could pick up that gift set (G/H does have a few good cards, not quite as many as I/J). You could also start grabbing other sets - I'd recommend Disciples, as you've got a chance at picking up some cards that go really well with one of the I/J offenses (the purple brigade disciples). You'd also be getting cards from 3 older sets in those packs (Angel Wars, Patriarchs, and Apostles).
