This is all just speculation.

If the new set is an expansion, it will probably be O.T. centered because Disciples gave N.T. a huge boost. If it is a new starter deck (my opinion), it might give orange and teal a bit of cards. If it stays true with the G/H model, it might be a Silver/(Brown, Grey or something) against Orange/Teal. Or it will use other themes that have not been used yet along with the orange/teal.

But knowing Rob, he might quite surprise us. After all, I've never been right (Actually I predicted the Disciples set, but whatevs).

New cards usually premiere at the National tournament in August. Sometime between now and then there should be an official announcement of what the new cards will be (for example, a booster pack or a set of starter decks, etc.).

I think they should have an OT theme called The Classics and have it be made of the old style cardboard with a stick of gum in it :)

The new set will be released at nationals, and used for one of the categories (booster or sealed), however, it won't be legal for any of the other ones.

I was surprised when I heard a reliable rumor about the new set.

I think they should do theme decks like Noah's Ark.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

I think they should do a Christmas themed set and release it next December. :)
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

If it is a new starter deck (my opinion), it might give orange and teal a bit of cards.

A new starter deck should not include demons, IMO. Remember that starter decks are intended for new players to learn the game with a deck that is moderately competitive. Getting new players (especially parents) interested in a Christian game that uses demons gets tricky at times. I liked having the G/H decks to give out, since the cards were mostly non-offensive.

I like the idea of teal, however.

Not to mention the demons in the E/F decks, also.

I was talking about having a whole deck with demon only defense (orange). It was very easy for me to take a couple of cards out and replace them.

I agree with you. I was just saying what I thought might happen, and I don't think its very unlikely Cactus would do a demon-themed deck, looking at the C/D decks, E/F decks, and a little bit of G/H. Personally I think Cactus has chosen really repulsive art for the demons in the G/H that parents will almost always take out (mine did).

What does that even mean? Your parents removed the cards they didn't like the looks of from your decks?

I don't like the idea of Teal/Orange for starters, simply because it forces your hand to pick priests while playing sealed (to use your cards to the fullest, atleast).

How about Revelation!!! There is a lot of cards you can remake and make on that. Old card example the red dragon.
 New card example
Keys of Death and Hades
Ability~Return three evil characters from discard pile to top of draw pile if defense of a LS is sucsesful and evil character didnt die( If defense character died but block still sucsesful you get one evil character) Each time block unsucsesful you may draw a card. When son of god and NJ is played or discarded negate this ability for the rest of the game.

This is fairly common. I even took objectionable cards away from my playgroup in CT when I got a teacher report that one of my 5th grade players was carrying around his Whore of Babylon card and kissing it in class.

Understand that there is a rather large population of Christians that think any card game is objectionable. I grew up in a competitive card-playing family, learning Spades and Hearts from early childhood. My wife, on the other hand, grew up with parents that taught her standard playing cards were from the devil.

Whether we agree with this philosophy or not, as Christians we must remain aware of not being a stumbling block or purposefully offensive. Removing certain cards from my playgroup's circulation was an easy fix for what could have become an uncomfortable confrontation. You can play Redemption just as competitively, and have just as much fun, without those cards.

I dunno, Gomer is pretty useful...  I kid, I kid.  I think there was a playgroup that didn't use falling away because it disagreed with their theology.

Regardless of what new set that comes out, I want to see better mechanics & abilities! The game is not powerful enough and I'd like to see more game winning combos rather than just SoG & NJ.

Lately my brother and I talk about how it would be cool to see the new set based around the End Times with all the craziness going around the world right now, it just seems cool to have something go along with the signs of the times.

Our playgroup wants a Revelation theme, and then it can duke it out with Genesis.

If its a starter deck I would say it should be like G/H where it was half OT and half NT.

Maybe an Elijah deck, it could be Green and something, vs Brown and Pale Green (for Ahab defense)

And for NT I'd like to see a Peter/Cornelius deck (Purple and Red) vs ... Herod Agrippa and something (Sadducees was done in G/H) maybe Roman Emperors (or Romans in general)

If its a booster pack like set, something of a mix of NT and OT, If its something like FooF and RoA, I probably won't be able to afford much of it, but again something of a mix.

But most importantly if its a Starter Deck I definitely want to see an updated rulebook, with lots of ability definitions and such.  If its not a starter deck I want to see the new REG to come out.
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.
