I'm talking about the site side. The Fortress side is great. It also doesn't matter most of the time against Uzzah and Foxes because Humble is almost always active for the defensive player.

I think the card would be an auto include in 95% of decks if it didn't have the Fort side at all. Having the option to use the Fort side in the rare case its better early game or as an option late game if you can reset it just makes this even stronger.

Joshua (CoW) and at least one new Hero will take a Site/City and use it against you. There's a certain amount of risk/reward with playing a Site these days.

Your comments seems based on what you know now. Looking only at the current card pool, Babel is a must have for me today. But with almost 70 new cards that can access the Reserve about to be added to the pool that won't aways be the case.

That being said, Babel is amazing which is one of the reasons it was chosen as an UR.

You are completely right that I'm evaluating this based only on current cards and if sufficient punishment cards are printed then I'll be more than happy to eat my words about Babel and others being auto include.

On the bright side a lot of the spoiled cards encourage less splash and buff archetypes that are either under powered or don't really even exist atm so all things considered my opinion of the set is very high.

Wow, Babel is an awesome card! Love the art too! Because Cities follow deck building requirements for Sites, they can't be targeted as Forts in deck, right?

Yes, they can be targeted as Forts (just like a Covenant can be targeted as a Good Enhancement or Artifact) while in deck. However, if an ability says "Take a Fortress from deck and play it" and you grabbed a City, it would have to be played as a Fort (similar to Eternal Covenant grabbing a DAC).

Having a specific name for DAE and DAC has been discussed, but nothing has been decided at this time.

Yeah Babel is pretty great as a fort. You can play it as a site but what are you grabbing? FW? Uzzah? FW is pretty bad now that this is a thing, and Uzzah will fail more often now. Humble isn't very reliable when Son and TSC are easily accessible.

The reserve access is nice, but deceiver still does that role. I imagine this will be played in most decks if only to stomp fire foxes and Uzzah 100% of the time.
