Most underrated cards in the game

Fun discussion topic: what are the most underrated cards in the game - and please explain why for your pick(s)!

One that immediately comes to mind for me is Urim and Thummim. It's just so powerful to be able to see your opponent's hand every turn and then immediately pick a different artifact!

The most underrated card in the game is Covenant with Death. Followed by anything that gets tossed by coliseum because everyone is playing safe around coliseum.

Balaam and Adino. Two super underrated characters in my opinion.

Balaam: he can fit into both pale green or grey decks. that's not bad on it's own. then, he prevents all enhancements, while being a 6/7, that alone it good, but, he can also get a pale green or grey curse out of discard! You need more negates in your pale green or grey deck? throw in balaam and unsuccessful. did someone discard your RBD? get it right back with balaam! Throw in a confusion of mind and make your opponent suffer by throwing away their enhancements and doms and grab it right back! On top of all of this, her is a magician, and his ability is CBP.

Adino: he can fit into almost any red deck and be a standalone tank. There are two main spears you will want to use with him. (Jashobeam's spear and abashai's spear are also options, but i don't like them that much) Main spear to use: Roman spear. slap this on adino and you have a 14/9 who prevents all special abilities on non weapon class enhancements, except banding. as if that's not good enough, you can discard the spear to decrease an opposing character by 0/5! that's is a potential battle winner there, especially if you have Cov with adam or Crown active. the other spear that i like is Warrior's spear. this would work really well in a red/ egyptian deck with amasai the raider. Your adino becomes a 12/11, prevent all non weapons and discards the top card from opponent's deck every time he goes into battle!

While I agree that CWD has pretty much always been an underrated card since it hit the scene 5.5 years ago, I don't think I can call it the most underrated.  CWD has the distinct characteristic of being a better offensive artifact than defensive one, and it almost always weakens your own defense.

I mean, sure CWD negates the FBTN options of Captain and Moses in Gabe's deck, but if he attacks you with Josh/Captain while you have CWD active, that's still a really tough block to make.  And sure it stops Saul/Abby/David, but Throne + CWD usually gives an overall advantage to a Purple King as opposed to the blocking EC.

CWD pairs very well with Philistines and some Brown defenses, but it stops soooooo many EC abilities...  Jericho seems like the better option right now.

Not sure what the most underrated card is right now.  I haven't been playing much recently, so my opinion is less valuable.  It would be hard to imagine an EC as meeting this qualification, but Saph is amazing, and doesn't get much publicity.

I've long considered U&T to be one of the most powerful cards in the game. The obvious drawback is that it forces you to include High Priests, which are hard to fit in a lot of offenses. However, one of my favorite tactics is to use the High Priests found in other brigades besides Teal.

Green & Gold have versions of Aaron and Eli.

Blue has Eli and Ahimaaz.

Gray & Black have the Sadducee High Priests (2 for Gray, 3 for Black)

Evil Gold has Urijah the High Priest.

Maybe it's not underrated, but I really like the versatility of Broken Covenant.

As for an EC, I think The god of this World could be considered underrated. I don't see people use him often, but whenever I do, I always think "Man, that guy is annoying" and I find myself looking for ways to get him off the table.  :o

Cast into the Lions Den. Easily recurrable battle winner for offense or defense in two super popular brigades. Also can be made regardless of protection.

Great mentions! Question: If Adino enters battle with Roman Spear and discards the Spear pre-block to decrease someone /5, is Adino'/ prevent ability on or off for the battle? Basically, does the "check" happen before you use the spear and does it continually "re-check" for the "while holding a spear" condition on Adino?

I think it does not work, because the wording says "if adino is holding a spear..." so that implies that it is constantly checking.

Emperor Tiberius. I've seen quite a few Roman defenses (not mine) that do not include him in it, or any gray defense for that matter. The ability to look at your opponent's hand and underdeck ANY dominant is ridiculously powerful.

I think Great Image. most people I see don't include it because it isn't a battle winner. however, think of this.
Crimson is most likely going to be one of two different decks. babs or a sorta chump block (chump block being with Serpent, lions, etc.). In either case, you have multiple characters that almost always get initiative, or can play it right off the bat. Nerg with horses, Chaldeans, Astrologers, Bab Soldiers, and Neb for Babs. Astrologers, Serpent, and Simon the Magician are the ones off the top of my head for the chump block. all but three of which are 3/3 or lower, and two of the ones above that can play it first anyways. so with all of those guys, you go in and play great image. you didn't win the battle, but you also most likely didn't pass inititive either, so you can still play your battle winner and win the battle, or CM to kill the opposing character. and this wipes out your opponents characters. all the ones in territory. best in multi, but every time I use Great Image, it is a huge game changer.

CoW Daniel is the best way. There's also King Amon to stay in brigade.

Rahab (CoW)
Joshua (CoW) can search her and and Spy out. Protects Joshua heros in territory including herself. She isn't negated by Moses (CoW). She provides site access and soul generation abilities. She's a Canaanite. Can hold stalks of flax. Makes Scarlet line a potential CBN battle winner for her. I use her in a Type 2 deck and she is always good. You'll also never forget if when you have her in Territory and you play wrath of satan.

I also want to nominate Spy (Ki) because looking at your opponent's hand is always good and withdrawing potential is good, but looking at your opponent's hand + searching their deck for a lost soul + withdrawing to safety if need be is amazing. And Joshua can band him in CBN so you don't have to give up a rescue attempt to do all of that.

I agree- also being a Canaanite, the amazing Foreign Sword is great with her too!

Captured Ark is another good candidate.  The squishiness of curses can be mitigated by playing Moses, who stops Live Coal/Passover Hymn in territory.  CA can also let you cut DoN, freeing up a valuable Dom slot.  And with Joshua in so many decks, the only hard counter to CA isn't really played (Naz).
