the reg doesn't list canaanites. Do we already have some red canaanites or are they all in the new set?

If you read the article closely, it mentions some red Canaanites (or were they Philistines?) in one of the new tins. So, there will be both good and evil Canaanites and Philistines, I believe.

I do not think that all Philistines are Canaanites, though I'm not sure about this.

All the new Red Warriors are Canaanites (at least in that article).  Uriah, Ishmael, and Ahimelech.  They are all mentioned in the article and designated as Canaanites.

Correct.  All three new red heroes this year are Canaanites.
As hinted in the article, there is already a female Canaanite hero.

The article about Tower of Thebez explains the Redemption definition of Canaanite (which matches Genesis).  Just because you live in Canaan doesn't make you a Canaanite, or else all the Israelites would be Canaanites, too!  The ancestry of the Philistines is not known for certain, but many believe that they arrived by ship and were originally an island people, possibly even Greek!

Caleb was a Hittite, so doesn't he qualify as a Canaanite for redemption? Also, doesn't Jael qualify as a Canaanite?

If I'm reading correctly, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, and Esau should qualify as good Canaanites as well.

Jael's husband was a Kenite who is of the subgroup of Hamathite who is a descendant of Canaan, we know nothing of her actual origin...gotta love patriarchal societies :P

Jael's husband was a Kenite, but there seems to be some disagreement over whether this was a Canaanite family.  Jethro was a Kenite, and he was living in Midian.  We've treated Jethro as a Midianite, though I don't know if we should classify him as a Canaanite based on ancestry.  Some Kenites lived in Canaan.  Some in Midian.  But by birth, are they all Canaanites?
