My Dearest and I just had a really great game...(of course I won). But we have yet another question for you. I played the yellow hero Mary of Bethany. He played Red Dragon which says "Immune to human Heroes". I then played the yellow enhancement Entertaining Angels which says "Hero may band to any silver brigade Hero" followed by Captain of the Host. My Dearest says I shouldn't have been able to play anything since Red Dragon was immune to human Heroes. I say, the battle wasn't done and I had an enhancement to play which put Angels out onto the field. Which of us is correct? Thanks for steering us in the right direction.
Another question...if Red Dragon is immune to human Heroes, does that mean the points on Mary of Bethany wouldn't count?
Thanks again!
Happy Gaming...

Another question...any idea why my avatar isn't showing?
Thanks.
-
you are correct, and mary of bethany's strength does nothing, not defensive
-
adamfincher is correct. Mary of Bethany's defense does still apply, so Red Dragon's 5 strength does apply against Mary of Bethany's defense.
Since Mary of Bethany is losing, you had initiative to play an enhancement. You can play a gold enhancement. Red Dragon's immunity does not stop you from playing an enhancement. The enhancement you played added Captain to the battle. That was a legal and SMART play. :)

Your avatar pic will probably show correctly again soon. It looks like you're using one of the stock avatars from the boards and none of them are working at the moment. Schaef must be playing around again. :)

Thanks so much for the clarification that I could play the enhancement, but I'm not sure if that means I can count the strength and toughness from the yellow brigade associated with the human Hero??? I know you were answering that also. But we oldsters get a little dense sometimes. ???

you can count the toughness, but not attack, as red dragon is immune to being hurt by him.

"Not the attack"...so does that mean I couldn't win a lost soul even though I had banded to angels which the dragon wasn't immune to?
-
Think of immunity as the immune character cannot be hurt and has "infinite defense" to the characters it is immune to.
You rescue with Mary at Bethany and he blocks Red Dragon. He is immune to you, so you are 7/5 and he is 5/infinity. He is currently winning the battle, so it is your initiative. You can play enhancements (although, a discard or capture enhancement will not work beings he is immune) so you band in Captain of the Host. Captain negates his immunity so it is your 17/15 fight by the numbers versus his 5/6.

Ok, thanks. I appreciate it. I didn't want to think I scarfed up the last Lost Soul illegally. ::)
