I or J starter deck?

I'm just curious what other people think, 9 times out of 10 when I play with the I/J starter deck one particular deck always wins. Does this happen to you? Have you seen that one starter deck is better than the other if so which one?

I like the defense in the I deck, but the offense in the J deck more. The ruth/judges offense may not be as good as disciples/angels, but it's more fun imo. I'd imagine the I deck wins more, but I'd always pick the J over I, just because I like ruth.

My guess is you feel the J deck is stronger?

Personally I've always felt they were pretty balanced and each game usually comes down to soul availability, resource management and a few key battles. Obviously in a Sealed deck event, the randomness of the additional packs typically has an impact.

J is for Jephthah

I got the I deck and was concerned at nationals, but my partner traded me a My Lord and My God and it was incredible.. Gold Emperor Claudius also did work. John is very good. John Earley, John the Disciple, John Cunningham  ::)

Moses or Edict in J is technically still better though. Cbn and bigger fbtn

Imo J deck is stronger than I straight out of the box for any new player cause of Jephthah.

I once traded the gold offense for the purple offense with my first round partner...then subsequently added the Patriarchs Jephthah to my deck.  ;D

I'm certain the J deck is overall better. I've played a decent amount of sealed and my results are noticeably better with it as are the results of nearly everyone I've watched.

Of course I think J deck is better but I wanted to see if that's what everyone else thought or if I was just that bad at playing LOL.

If I was forced to bet on a straight up match (i.e. no added cards) between I & J, I believe I would pick J.

That being said, I think the I deck has a bit more potential for picking up useful cards in a Sealed deck format where additional cards are added. Several years ago when I won Sealed deck at Nationals--using the I deck--it was without a doubt due to the great pulls I had for the I deck (namely Gib Trick, Widow & King Jotham) in addition to a couple great cards that are strong in either deck (Prince of this World (priests) and Covenant of Noah).  8)
