What's the highest abilities you've seen on a character, and how'd it happen?
Here's my story:
My brother (Ninja Duck) RA with Gabe. Opp blocks low, plays Babel to band in 14 other EC's. Duck plays Multitude (multiply hero abilities by the number of EC's in battle). Gabe is now 150/150.

Why was somebody playing with that big of defense?!?! Booster Draft?!?!
I once had 112/109 with CBN immunity and FBTNB. I don't remember exactly how it went, but it was something like this:
Caleb
Men of Judah
Army of Simeonites - Gathered
Men of Judah
Army of Simeonites - Gathered
Captain of the Host
And they all had a ton of counters. That's still not quite right, so there might be another Gathering thrown in there, a Caleb's Sword, etc. Grain Offering was played during Prep Phase.

I once attacked with MMoJ banded to Mary Mags, which was 14/12. I even played He is Risen, which makes it like 17/15.
-
This was early on in our playgroup. Everyone had schizophrenic defenses that were (mostly) mono.
-
Fallen warrior at 35/28
I love Wrath of Satan
-
I played Jehoiada's Strength (Band any # of O.T. human Heroes into battle) and my opponent had a bunch of O.T. Heroes in his territory, so after I banded them all in, my total ended up being 52/40 8) I won the battle ;D LOL!
-
My old red offense banding chain could get into the 60s and 70s easily and pretty much go FBTN except a few things that could slip by. Then I realized big numbers allowed your opponent to eat you alive.

+1 yeah they can hurt you pretty bad.
-
I felt so awesome with them until I started playing better people and getting curb stomped lol. Even without banding it was hard to get inish without dying. Then I started playing with Spy and it all went uphill.
-
Leviathan 12/12!
-
I got King Ahab up to 95/95.
-
My retro superbandy deck which I played beginners with (which was destroyed recently :'( ) got a banding chain up to 270ish/260 because I played Love of Jesus on my 10+ character banding chain.
-
Banding is easy. I was wondering what you got a single character to.
-

Me and my friends have at least 100 cards in our decks. I have a 44 card defense in my deck with 21 Evil Characters and 23 enhancements
-
I have gotten my blocking characters up to a 79/83 at least twice
-
I just got King Jeroboam I up to 67/67.
-
I got my Fallen Warrior up to 75/80 after two battles thanks to overwhelmed by philistines

I think the new theoretical maximum would involve 3x SSS, 3x DoU, 3x Threatened Lives and 21x Samaria in a 153 card T1 deck.
21 sites * 6 (DoU/SSS) + 3 (TL) = 126 + 3 = 129 uses of Samaria * 6 = a 774/774 increase.

Threatened Lives can be recurred for an infinite increase.
-
Sure, if you substitute Golgatha for one of the Samarias, you can recur DoU and SSS as well.
-
SSS doesn't shuffle sites.
-
and here I am getting all excited for nothing...

SSS doesn't shuffle sites.
Gah, true, sorry, I forgot that one.

Too bad Threatened Lives doesn't have a reference! :P
-
It's Esther, according to the REG. =)

Considering the Matthew ruling, you can't recur it with King Nadab.
EDIT: Actually, the REG has been updated for AOCP claiming it has no reference. The REG did list the reference when the ruling was made, right?
-
Yup. Therefore, no reference = no reference, no matter what the REG says.
It's probably going to get re-ruled with some "If it actually has words from the Bible, that's the reference" reasoning.
-
Well it's almost certainly a misprint - albeit a wide-spread one.

Esther 3:13
and i cant wait to see how this plays out...
