I think the Hall of Fame should be about that: fame. If you want a list of people who have won high level tournaments, that already exists. But there are a few people who have impacted the game far more than the people who would be on that list. RR, for example, pioneered the Heroless archetype. Tim Mirezezekjjzeki should be on there even if he hadn't won nationals for his many contributions to the game. Don't make this about success, we have RNRS for that. Make the Hall of Fame about Fame!

Don't worry, Pol. I'm thinking along many of the same lines. Just give me some time to get this put together :)

You forgot a few z's. (I don't think I personally have contributed that much except maybe popularizing hand discard, but that's beside the point.)
While it shouldn't be anything official, I would like to see some sort of feature on here highlighting major contributors to Redemption card play. It'd be cool to have a "Redemption Personality of the Week" honoring what the person has done for the game, have others comment on their impact and contribution, and so on. I've always wanted to know more about the major players.

Truth be told, I like this idea a lot more. Have someone randomly selected to be written about that week. This way, it's not like anyone who ISN'T on the list feels that they're inferior, and we still get to hear about all the cool stuff people have done.
I've never been keen on ranking people in anything, because everyone is different.

i would see the point of this if redemption had the player pool of say mtg or such, but it doesnt. everyone already knows most everybody worth mentioning. this is little more than feeding peoples egos, and its pretty pointless.

Even with the pool as small as it is, since I've been cooped up in the east the whole time, I have little knowledge of what goes on in, say, Minnesota or West Minnesota*. I know vague things like "Alstads = woah" but I would be honestly curious to see a spotlight on individuals' role in shaping the game.
*California.

I disagree. A lot of people on the boards are well-known in the community, but not everyone knows why they are well-known. Especially new players. Besides that, I wouldn't see it as much as ego-filling as mutual-edification.
Of course, I'll volunteer to write your article and only talk about escalators.

i would give this merit if the progression of this game didnt progress at a snails pace.

but that has nothing to do with the game. if you want to know about someones personal life, go hit up their twitter or something.

Captain Serious, you are called to report for duty on the SS Buzzkill.
-
Again why I feel just an article each week about someone might be a better idea. No egos built or crushed with a big ranking list, but you still get to learn who did what, and it'd just be fun.

I lol'd

because i have a negative opinion im somehow in a bad mood? i have a gorgeous 50 inch plasma tv sitting in my living room, i have absolutely no reason to be in a bad mood whatsoever. im just saying, i dont think the idea is very practical given the billion other more resourceful ways to get to know someone, as well as how slow the general redemption world is. pardon me for raining on the happy-go-lucky parade, but that was just my opinion. take it with a grain of salt.
edit: if it makes anyone feel any better, i'd be more than happy to contribute to the redemption world the vast history of escalators.

I always do :) But seriously, I like the idea, you don't. It's all good.

Well, just because Pete Rose is banned from the MLB Hall of Fame shouldn't reflect on the fact that DuelinDude is a shoo-in for the Redemption Hall of Fame. :P

well i say rob sould be auto in the hall of fame via him creating this wondorful game and the number of friend I gained by it
