Can I have both brown and black in deck? Little fuzzy on my same card rules - they have different brigade and different special ability and numbers

Can I have both brown and black in deck?
No.
I believe the ruling was same art and same title=same card.
-
Darn, that stinks.
-
one more additional question if i may. Can i put people into a fortress at the end of turn? ex. Put a judge in judge's seat after i have rescued.
-
Unless the Fortress specifies otherwise, you can only add or remove from Fortresses during your Preparation Phase, before the Battle Phase. Judge's Seat doesn't list any other timing, so it can only be filled or emptied during the Preparation Phase.

Just one more. Hero attacks, I block, and play Christian Martyr. Can he play Grapes of Wrath on my evil character during the battle conclusion so he can make another rescue attempt?

Can you provide proof for this? If you look at the Type 1 Deck-Building Rules (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/REG/default.htm?turl=Master%2Ftypeideckbuildingrules.htm), the only stipulation for "same name, same art, same card" is for unique characters. There is no mention of a limitation on enhancements with same name, same art. Unless there is another specific ruling that we can find, there is no rule preventing you from using both Gibeonite Trickery in the same T1 deck.

Agreed.

Yes, they can. This would be the same as you responding with Christian Martyr when they AoTL your only EC in battle. As long as there are legal targets for the Dom and it is not the Battle Resolution Phase (that is the time when each player has 'given up' on playing cards and it goes to be resolved; you can't use a Dom after you decide to lose by the numbers, for instance), then it is a legal play.

Correct.
Same Art + Same Title = same card. This is true for ALL characters and enhancements. See King of Tyrus (Gold vs. Orange). See also Gibeonite Trickery (brown vs. black).
Same Title + Same Brigade = same card. This is true for enhancements and UNIQUE characters. See Gabriel (Warriors vs Disciples). See also Ointment (Warriors? vs. Deck C?)
Same Generic Title + Different art = different card. This is true for Generic characters only. See Pharisees, Pharisees, Pharisees.
Different art + Different Brigade = different card. This is true for characters and enhancements. See Bow and Arrow (good gold) and Bow and Arrow (gray). See also David (red) and David (green). See also Fortify Site (gray) and Fortify Site (black).

Redoubter answered the spirit of your question, but technically the answer is no. During conclusion (more accurately called resolution), nobody can play anything. However, he can play Grapes prior to resolution following your CM.

Pol, were you agreeing with me or not? ;)
You said that technically it's no, but then said that he can play it...can you help clarify?
But yes, as I said, during battle resolution (which is after both players pass their opportunity to play cards, including doms, or after an end-the-battle card is played), nothing can be played (including doms).
Also, thanks to MitchRobStew for finding the proof. Of course it'll be immediately updated in the REG (yuk, yuk, yuk).

Pol said that technically the answer is no because of the way the question was asked: fyero asked if you could play Grapes during battle conclusion (read: resolution) which you can't do; you can, however, play it before resolution happens.

Thanks. for translating Prof ;) That makes complete sense, of course.
In that case, I agree with you Pol.
