I’m super excited to build with these and they all seem to have competitive potential. Favorite batch of spoilers so far by a long shot.

Both Canaanites and Giants are looking promising this year. Looking forward to seeing the giantslayers - especially if we've decided that Caleb counts now :P

Love the cards thus far! I really hope there are some new pale green weapons in this set. That brigade is in dire need of some new ones!

Is the hero version of Nephilim warrior class or just the EC? The symbol is only on the left side under the EC alignment.

Is that different than any of the previous dual alignment warrior class characters? How do you use King Abijam, King Saul and Joab?

By the way, love the victory at Hebron artwork on these. Proper throw back 8)

Good point.  I guess I was thinking of TC that's been printed on both sides of alignment on other cards.

A couple early thoughts:
I love Nephilim. I especially like that he also hits TC characters. Looking forward to seeing him in decks specializing in all four of his brigades. Now the only question is what Unity (giants/ antediluvians) cards there'll be, or if you just run him and War to get all the reserve weapons.

I like the sons of Anak trio. I'm looking forward to seeing exactly how people balance them in deck/reserve to get them out best. It's also worth noting that Og can band to them, helping fulfill Talmai's condition.

What I'm most excited about, though, is Emim - not so much the giant part but at this first look at Moabites. The way that Gabe talks about his ability implies there's more coming beyond FW and the currently nigh-useless Orpah. Speculation: Orpah reprint (possibly also implying more Ruth stuff), King Balak (the guy who hired Balaam), King Eglon (the guy Ehud stabbed - perhaps some CTB incentive), possibly King Mesha (rebelled against King Jehoram) and the army that Elijah tricked by digging ditches. Based on two separate instances of mixing pale green and grey that I've seen from people who would be in the know, I'd put money on Balak with magician synergy and possibly some new Moabite magicians. There might also be an idol related to Chemosh, the Moabite god - it would go especially well with Corrupted Temple.

...hey, if you reward my speculation one week with an extra card reveal, you better believe I'm gonna speculate again  ;)

Great article Gabe! The 12 year old in me is extremely happy to finally see a Nephilim print, although the artwork is a pretty disappointing. Great Victory at Hebron throwback, I was just watching a YouTube playthrough of that game a few days ago!

If you think you can find a better piece for Nephilim I’m happy to consider any option that’s public domain.

This is the best public domain art that I found that is appropriate (some of the other pieces lacked much clothing, more so than Rapha!).  It's a piece about the Greek titans, which are the Greek spin on the Nephilim since the Greek's story of the titans is rooted in the Gen. 6 Nephilim event.  The piece shows them as giants (particularly the one who is holding up that rock).

For what it's worth... I feel the current art for Nephilim fits the dual alignment implemented on the card. Mysterious shadow with the setting sun. Could be good? Could be bad? We aren't sure.

If Nephilim becomes just evil I will say I dig your art more ;D

I for one like the current art as spoiled. I like the way it looks with the border and that its difference from a lot of other art.
