Welcome to the Official Redemption® Message Board!
So I go back to my original question. Say we make an app with only the 100 cards from the I/J decks. What cost are we talking about? If we are talking about 10s of thousands if not 100, then is it truly worth it? If it honestly does cost that much for 100 cards, then we are easily talking a million for the over 3,000 cards we have. At that point it would probably become an app you have to pay for, then possibly even have to pay for expansions. I know I'm not buying what I currently have plenty of (physically) just to play Redemption on my phone. Now if I'm overstating the cost, then great! But my question is: Am I?

I know I'm not buying what I currently have plenty of (physically) just to play Redemption on my phone. Now if I'm overstating the cost, then great! But my question is: Am I?So I'm not very well versed in the business side of things (I'm a code monkey, not a project manager), but here's my understanding:For a small project (looking at the figures Matrix pulled from Google), the primary cost is paying the devs. How much that is will depend on who you hire, and how long it takes them. We might be able to find enough people in the community here who would pitch in, although by nature that would mean there can't really be a defined delivery date.Getting the framework in place will be the majority of the work. There will need to be a front end (that players interact with) and a backend (where all the logic happens). Again, I don't think that we can port the game as-is directly to digital, but in theory if we could the goal would be to make the abilities modular. Porting in Achan's Sin (the Pats version, anyway) shouldn't be hard if we already have Joseph in Prison, for example. If we know how to play TC enhancements, how to look at a hand, and how to search, then implementing Angelic Guidance should be easy....should. There will always be complications, bugs, and things that we can't control. That said, I/J should be possible, because it was intentionally designed to be simple. How many different kinds of abilities are in I/J? I remember:DrawSearch deck/discardDiscardNegate *last* (don't remember if anything here negates things other than last)Look at opponent's handReveal top X, put souls in play, underdeck restBandWhat am I forgetting?I'm working on a mockup sketch for my UI suggestion, but that likely won't come until later tonight.
Wouldn't we need Cactus' permission (and leadership) to make an official Redemption CCG app?
Quote from: kariusvega on Today at 09:53:13 AMI already made it but since you all hate on me for saying cactus should have done it I'm not sharing it we already have over 1500 active players who don't even know this forum or the cards exist I'm making $15000 a month with the new redemption c ya If you don't believe I have the money it doesn't matter cause I'm rich haha I can confirm this; I am one of 1500 people that is paying $100 a month for access to this redemption app. Part of the terms and conditions is you can't talk about it, which is why none of the 1500 have mentioned it on this forum. End quoteWhat is it called then and how do other gain access?

I wonder if any of the, alleged, 1500 people paying $100 dollars per month for a phone app also play live. As for this knuckle dragger, I still have a dumb phone and would absolutely NOT pay $100 per month on a gaming app, even if I had a whoopiewow phone. But those I my priorities not others. $100 is a lot of income to dedicate monthly for a game that becomes completely intangible when the payment stops. I tend to disbelieve this claim, but that is me being cynical. If it holds water, then I hope best for kariusvega.Godspeed, Mike
I originally posted "I can confirm..."I deleted it because I did the math wrong and realized it'd be $10 a month and not $100, and got embarrassed.
It’s not true, even if it was he would have stolen intellectual property from Rob.
