Title: Florida is weird
Post by: SomeKittens on December 03, 2011, 05:27:36 PM: I made a comment in a much more serious thread about Florida's "wonky meta." Are any of you guys on RTS? I'd like to see how they fare against the rest of the country.

I found this boring, so I no longer play ROOT. I'm not really the one you want to play anyway, since I don't play in tournaments I host (except in rare circumstances). The South Florida guys are not online enough to notice your request, and my primary playgroup in Orlando is not even on the Message Boards.

Frankly I don't care how we stack up against the rest of the country. We have fun, and that's all that matters to us.

I don't care how anyone stacks up against anyone else. Competition is fun, but it's only the tertiary reason I play. I love seeing new ideas at work. The community in Redemption is amazing. We may get on each others nerves online, but I've developed several friendships that have helped me immensely in my walk. I enjoy a little prodding among players (Chronic Apathy always ribs me for playing Disciples), and this is all in jest. I wish my players could come up with something as creative as T1.5. Heck, I wish my players would show any interest in T2 at all.
