Title: Flattening TxP
Post by: BubbleBoy on December 17, 2009, 09:28:53 AM
I think everyone has noticed by now that the TxP cards are kind of bent. It's really annoying when I'm going through my cards to make a deck and all my pages are bent oddly, and my stack of cards is all "fluffy." Also, I can always tell where the TxP cards are in my deck when I'm playing, which is really not very good. Anyway, I've noticed that a couple of the cards I've gotten from trading with others are pretty flat. I was just wondering how you do that?

I keep my TexP card stacked together in a box.  None of them are bent and some I've had since Nationals.

I put any new ones I get between the pages of my bible, sometimes I even put them with thier verse, its a great learning tool. After a week or two the usually stay fairly flat.

I do the same. it works perfectly, although, some of the cards came a little wrinkled... like my Grapes.

Wouldn't that make it the Raisins of Wrath?

Well, I'm the wrong Prof for the official job, but this would probably go down as one of my favorite forum quotes.

Thanks for this nice find. (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=12349.msg297795#msg297795)  I'm always open to suggestions from the "other prof" :)

Currently my warped TxP are on my desk under three textbooks and a case of Mountain Dew. They've been there for a few days, with me checking back to see their progress. It seems to be working somewhat.

Be careful though, if you press them too hard, you may end up with this:

This reminds me of a funny story. I have this friend, Abby, who went to a haunted house with me, and she is skinny as a twig. If she turned sideways, she'd fall in the cracks of the floor board. And we got to this room with a guy and a chainsaw, and she is screaming. The guy goes, "Shut up, Toothpick!!!" And Abby screams, "oh noes!! He just called me fat!!!!" lol jokingly of course lol

how do these pokemon battles work?

You grab your pokeball of choice (preferably the one with charizard), and proceed to throw it to the ground, SCREAMING the name of the monster that is inside it. It then bursts open in an epic display of light and the pokemon appears! Next, you proceed to SCREAM an attack you wish your pokemon to excecute. You may need to use items on your pokemon such as antidotes. This process repeats until the opponent is defeated, in which case you exchange snide remarks.

with who the pokemon? Wouldn't that be like going bird hunting with dogs and then after shooting the bird and the dog bringing it you and the dog exchange snide remarks about how birds are bird brained.

Of course not, you exchange snide remarks with your opponent, who then usually makes some kind of witty catchphrase about when they will return.

except the pokemon only faint. it's not like they'd let things die on a kids show...
