Top three favorite cards in this set:
1) Wages of Sin
2) Lamenting in the Mountains
3) Baal Worship

I'm a little worried about Egyptians and Jehu decks now to be honest. I'm going to either run deck and hand protection or tons of recursion for all my decks this season, or at least until I'm sure those won't be meta this year. Other than that, not too much concerns me yet. FoM is a little scary, but not that bad.

I also just wanted to say that I really love all the Ultra Rares this year. They may not be super expensive, super rare chase cards like past years, but they can work in basically any deck, and all have unique abilities that we haven't seen before.

Why do you like Lamenting? Do you use baal worship outside of battle more or do you find it more handy in battle?

I'm curious to experience facing someone using ANB while I'm also using ANB. I wonder if its better to play it first or last.

Lamenting is unbelievably powerful when played by any male, but especially if it's cbn. (which isn't that hard to do) set aside is super underrated as an ability imo. Yeah, it's not permanent, but there is no way to get them out of set aside once they are there. Plus, almost no one has set aside protection! with any other battle winner, with the exception of banish abilities, there is a chance your opponent can search them back out of deck or discard, release them, or just go int battle again next turn.
I'm not sure if baal worship will be any good, but it seems really good in concept. I'm not sure i'd play it in battle, but I'd probably save it if i really needed a negate.

Edit: lamenting may not be amazing in other decks, but in my ruth deck, it's a must have.

Wouldn't you have to set aside your own Ruth or Naomi though? Why do you like it in your ruth deck?

I'm running Justin, Jephthah, boaz, elders, and ibzan in it, plus with a ruth deck, you can easily recur it. you can use it on ruth/naomi/TWwC if you have to, but it's more for the males in the deck.

Yeah, probably won't run him though, just because of the unity qualifier on Death of Family. (Unity: ot human heroes) Had to take out TAotW too.  :(

I'd have to go check, but I think the Unity on Death of Family is that all the Human Heroes have to be O.T., not that all Heroes have to be O.T. humans.

Quote from the card: Good Enhancement has Unity: Human Heroes (OT)

Does that not mean you must have all human heroes, and all human heroes must be ot?

No, that means all your human heroes must be OT. You could have Revelation Angels with one OT human Hero and it would work.

No, it means all of your human heroes must be O.T. "Unity: X (Y)" means "all your X are Y", so it would be Unity: Heroes (O.T. Humans) to require only human heroes.

Yes, with Jephthah in the reserve, although he may switch to the deck with AWSN in there.

So here's an interesting question: FoM doesn't (IMO) have a chase card like TSC or 3W that goes in literally every deck. Of the three URs, which do you think will see the most play?

My money's on Babel, on account of just how splashable it is - easy reserve access as a site, and even if you're running an NT or nonhuman defense the fort is great. That said, Wages is insanely good in decks that run its brigades - and with Deciever, Foreign Wives, and even Firefoxes in almost every deck I could see it being thrown into reserves of decks that don't even run its colors (perhaps grabbed by Heart of Depravity). Fall of Man is also insanely strong - dominant restrictions are always powerful, and multibrigade evil battlewinners are nice. I do think that using it as a platform for the other curses is risky, considering how easy it will be to get rid of all of them at once (especially with the inevitable prevalence of R&D). In addition, most decks won't WANT all four - serpent's is only good with animals, birthing pains isn't bad but I don't think it's worth running unless you're already running grey (especially Romans). That said, I can see Cursed Ground making it into a lot of decks.

Again, my money's on Babel, but I look forward to seeing how it plays out.

My favorite themes are judges and Canaanites from the new set. Favorite single cards would be The Wages of Sin, Othniel, Babel, Og and a few others... :P (I have many favorites)

I see Canaanites being really good because of Jericho (CoW) will protect you from Jehu and give you cbp since Cloud heroes will probably be more meta this year.
