Falsely accused

I would like for the video of me shuffling my deck which was claimed to be evidence against me of "manipulation of deck" as cheating to disqualify me from sealed at nationals to be made public. It was even my idea to record the sealed games. I was not cheating and it will serve to show the falseness of the claim.

Thanks

By the way I would like to see this video footage unedited with original audio only from before the round started to being disrupted

I offered to show you twice at Nationals and you declined.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

I haven't even seen it but I know what it will reveal. Let's see it.

I did not decline as fellowship became a priority. Zeke Blodgett is a good friend and did not even accuse me of cheating when I was sitting right in front of him on camera shuffling my deck. We were both told to stop playing by Gabe who said due to the way I was shuffling(which is how I and many were shuffling the entire tournament) I would be given a warning. Then the situation was somehow escalated by no means of my own to a full disqualification. Gabe said he has video footage of this assertion which was his evidence of me cheating.

I am the victim of a personal attack of integrity here and I want this footage to be made public so everyone has the opportunity to see what was considering cheating and to make their own determination based upon this.

We have footage of 3 incidents where you are illegally manipulating one or more decks. Two weren't caught until after Nationals so you got away with it Friday. Probably Thursday too. There are also two other instances of you cheating witnessed by hosts and judges this summer off camera. I didn't plan to call you out publicly for all that but since you've brought it up.

In this case the squeakiest wheel doesn't get the grease. Family, work and even other responsibilities I have to the game come before meeting the demands of someone who chooses to cheat at Bible cards.

When the time comes, if the game's leadership deams it appropriate, I will share footage and elaborate on multiple ways you've cheated so that people can be on the look out. While I believe it's a small minority who cheat, I'm not naive enough to think you're the first or only person. IMO, the best way to avoid this in the future is to inform the honest players so they can know what to look for.

Instead of arguing which is what would have happened at nationals had I not kept my cool.. Let's see the footage, Gabe. Let's see it.

I am the victim of a personal attack by one person(Gabe). I have spent countless hours playing on lackey because Redemption is my passion (you can't even "manipulate decks" on lackey). This is a bogus claim that was made from across the room after the game had already started. Let's see the footage. Make it public unedited so everyone can see it.

My heart is hurt from this and I would certainly hope no one else playing this game would be attacked in this way.

The most absurd stretch of this claim is that until I started playing Redemption 2 years ago to my knowledge no games were even recorded!! It was Zeke, Sam, Daniel, and Travis at my first tournament in Ohio in 2015 who said that the games should be recorded! Travis then was the first to my knowledge to record Nationals games in 2016 which I even edited. It's absolutely insane to suggest the very person who came up with the idea of recording the games would try to cheat not only in front of his cherished community but also on camera. Plain and simple, you have no argument here.

It was other players and hosts that brought your dishonorable play to the attention of the elder team leading us to keep an eye on you in the first place. The group of judges overseeing day 3 decided to DQ you and I was among them. If you need someone to blame for the position you've put yourself in I can be that person. I have nothing to gain by falsely accusing you. My reputation in the game and history of not making personal attacks speaks for itself.

It was my suggestion to even begin recording Redemption games. Let's see the footage.

"All questioned concerning deliberate cheating shall be handled according to John 7:51."

Biblical reference: "Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?"

This judgement to disqualify me was against apparent tournament regulation. Going immediately from warning to disqualification was without question inappropriate.

Let's see the footage so everyone can see for themselves. This could happen to you.

Excuse me I did not cheat and you did not see the footage. Was this handled according to John? No. Thank you.

I was not asked what was happening. I was accused immediately from across the room, starting with a warning based on how I was shuffling from before the game even began. Talking about topic is beating a dead horse. Let's see the footage. It will show the proof.

As an outside observer with no information about what happened, I find it concerning (rather than encouraging) that you were the one who wanted to be sure it was recorded. As the father of a 19-year-old son who is exceptional at sleight of hand illusions, I'm sure he would love for people to try to catch him on video performing his tricks. The fact that he could fool you on camera only increases the allure of the illusion.

Why is this a public thread?

I was wondering why this hasn't been discussed already. Someone accused of cheating at Nationals and no one's talking about it. Either he did it or he didn't why does everyone want to keep this private? There was not a very good explanation at Nationals to what happened.

I agree that this probably should not be public until there is some type of closure in private. One side wants this public in order to be vindicated, while the other side wants there to be public awareness. I don't think either is fruitful for the general community. Inquiring minds want to know, but the direction of this thread is not going to result in peace of mind for anybody.

Why is this a public thread?

Transparency is important for these issues. The only reason for it not to be public would be if the player in question wanted to keep it between him and the judges but that is evidently not the case. I absolutely do not agree with the manner in which kariusvega has expressed his side in this thread but I do believe releasing the footage and any other relevant details that were used to reach the original decision is important.

Ymt that is an obscene allegation and yes I want it to be public so it's known that I was declared the winner of t12p mistreated and disqualified from a different event the next day. What kind of messages does that even send the kids? It was not handled according to John, it was a blunt accusation made from across the room about the way I shuffled from before the game even started.

The purpose of recording redemption games is marketing hello!!! This is so absurd. Where is the footage? Still no video.. surprise surprise.  I can't even count how few people come on this board like where are the players in my area is this game dead? It's based on the living word why is it being buried? So they can control the population like this? Killing interest as it comes? This was completely wrong and I was attacked and I was so upset at nationals I was crying. I will not be involving my children in this game as long as Gabe would continue to assert I'm a cheater. It's completely uncalled for and actually slander. Show the proof to everyone so they can see the truth!!!
