Here's basically how Dragon Raid works.

Let's say your opponent has a Lost Soul in a White brigade site in their territory. However, you only have a Red brigade hero, so you cannot attack without using a site for access. But if you have D-Raid in your territory, you can attack with your Red brigade hero and add Dragon Raid to battle to gain access to your opponent's site. Essentially, you can add your own unoccupied sites to get access to your opponents's sites of matching brigade.

You can add any of your unoccupied sites to battle in order to gain access. They just have to match brigade colors with the site you want to access.
