We usually get an REG release in August after Nationals. If you've been paying attention you've probably heard mention of REG 5.0 being in the works for quite a while now. I'm sure some of you are wondering what's going on?!?!
In summary the elders have been spending one night a week discussing many topics that we want to assess and/or update. We believe we're bringing a good deal of clarity to some areas that weren't entirely clear and making changes that will help the game in the future.
This week we wrapped up the last of the open topics we have been discussing. Work has begun on implementing all the changes, fixes and tweaks that we've agreed upon.
We're going to begin work on the expanded (full) 4th edition rulebook next. It's likely that the rulebook update and REG 5.0 will be release simultaneously because of how closely they are related.
The good news is that a LOT of progress has been made on the REG 5.0. The "bad news" is that it might still be a while before it's released to the public. More good news is that the Host Guide updates are complete and will probably be released very soon!
Since we're not following the traditional schedule I thought people might be interested in an update.
