I seem to remember one of the websites starting a collection of as many of the original pieces of art used on the cards - without text over the top.
Can anyone point me in that direction?

I don't have them on a website, but I have almost every piece of art ever used on a Redemption card. As long as it's public domain I'm happy to give you anything you need, just PM me your email address. For non-PD art that Cactus either commissioned or purchased you'll need to get permission.
