Title: Curses
Post by: Bap7 on May 22, 2012, 01:47:36 PM
Do you play them as an artifact and put it in your artifact pile or do you ate a new pile? And does activating one take up your prep phase?

If you play a curse as an artifact, it is treated exactly like an artifact (from a Game Rule standpoint).  You place it in your artifact pile (there is no new pile), you leave it face-down if it is not active, you flip it up if you choose to activate it.  Activating one takes up your prep phase, just like a normal artifact.

That is correct.  The only difference is that it still remains a curse so it can be targeted as an artifact or curse.

If played as an enhancement then it is treated just like any other enhancement except it is still a curse.

Ok I played Confusion of Mind as a curse (negate all SA on opponents heroes, cannot be negated) and he played I Am Sustainer as a covenant (Protect holders heroes from having their abilities reduced. Restore all of holders heroes to full abilities).
I played mine first, and it says cannot be negated and his says protect. So does CoM still take effect?

I am Sustainer does nothing about negation, it only protects from decrease.

perhaps off topic but outside of play DoN are there any decent suggests about discarding Covenant with Death?

Lying unto God. Or get lucky with the Deck Discard Lost Soul. There's also Captured Ark, but that only shuffles it into opponent's deck (it can be used twice though).

so you really have to play a specialized defense/offense to play any of those. . . Lying unto God can splash but you have to draw it while its active and get initiative and even so do i wanna play that instead of a battle winner

What's a card that gets rid of a fortress, it has to be either purple, white, black, or crimson brigade

Crimson: Axe (ThxP), Besieged (If three or more EC are in battle)
Black: Land dispute (If he doesn't hae a site in play)
White and Purple: None that I know of
