For the past several months, the Elder team has been working on a new system of classification that better describes our roles and responsibilities in the community. Rob approved the approach, and we are happy to announce the final product.
Essentially, the ‘catch-all’ term “Elder” is not going to be used to describe the entire group any longer. We are a diverse collection of individuals, with varied strengths and skills, and there will be assignments to reflect that. For example, some of us are very good with rulings, while others prefer to focus on the expansion of Redemption as a witnessing tool. That is what this new system is all about: allowing people to work on what they do best without feeling like others are relying on them for unrelated tasks, allowing projects to move forward with a smaller group in charge of each portion, and giving you, the player base, a clear understanding of who does what.
Each 'group' is defined based on what they are responsible for, and for ease of identification they are each given a good brigade from Redemption (except Silver) and a title that corresponds to an identifier associated with that brigade. Each current “Elder” will be found in one or more of these groups, and you will be able to identify them accordingly.
We all contribute in different ways to the many aspects of Redemption, but the groups are assigned based on our areas of focus. For example, all of the playtesters will suggest new cards, but that is not their primary focus or what they are responsible for; others will design the overarching sets and the majority of the new cards for the playtesters to start working with.
These new definitions will be housed in
this post, along with a card image for each of the individuals in these positions. Please feel free to comment in this thread on the change!
