Title: Brigade color
Post by: Redemption77man on February 05, 2012, 06:31:58 PM
Hi, I'm new here for Redemption. I'm sorting through my cards and I'm not sure of the brigade colors cuz Im not sure if some colors are off tint or another color. Could someone list a current, up to date list of all the brigade colors for heroes and evil characters?

Any other newbie advice would be appreciated too! Thanks! :)

Welcome to the boards!

To elaborate on what Rawrlolsauce posted:

Good Brigades:
Blue (almost all blue cards have the same tint)
Gold (the oldest good gold cards were yellow, but they are counted as the same brigade. The yellow cards are only seen in the first printing of the orignial set--they come in blue packs and are referred to as limited edition)
Green (Most green cards have the same tint, but a few of them do look a little different. However, it is still easy to differentiate slightly off tinted green cards from other brigades)
Purple (Same as green, there are a few cards that have a slightly different purple tint, but they are all in the same brigade.
Red (I can't think of any Red cards with different tints)
Silver (There are some cards that are supposed to be silver but are actually white. If you aren't familiar with the cards and you have one of them, it won't be easy to tell, unless you get a silver copy. They are pretty rare though, so I wouldn't expect you to have them. Otherwise, silver looks the same for the most part, with maybe a few cards tinted slightly differently)
Teal (Teal looks like a cross between blue and green. The brigade is usually reserved for Priests in the Bible, so you will most often see Priest in the identifier line of a Teal Hero. I don't know of any off-tinted Teal cards though)
White (Except for the cards that are supposed to be silver but look white, there are no tinted cards that I know of)

Evil Brigades:
Black (Pretty easy to tell, not really any tints for black)
Brown (Some tinted cards that I've seen, but still obvious enough that they are brown and not any other color.)
Crimson (These looked Red in the original limited set, but have since changed to a pink color)
Gray (A few gray cards look kind of like Silver cards, but all gray cards are evil--dragon or skull icons--while all silver cards except sites are good, with cross or bible icons.)
Orange (All orange cards have the same tint
Pale Green (These looked dark Green in the original set, but have since changed to a very light green color)
Gold (Like their Good counterparts, the Evil Gold brigade used to be yellow, but has changed to be more golden)

If you have any questions as to which brigade certain cards are, let us know.

I have a few yellow evil characters that actually look far closer to pale green, which is odd and I don't use them for the confusion. (Mainly pharaohs anyway)

Welcome to the game!

Fortunately, no card that you'd use in a tournament-worthy deck has anything but normal coloring.

Unless, of course, it's a Retro tournament. :)

If you are unsure, you can always check it here: http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/ (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/)

If you find the card, it will have the brigade color by it. Most of the multiples will be pretty much the same.
