Just recently I had a huge fail moment while talking deck building with another player and thought It would be interesting (and amusing) to start a thread to see the best of Redemption fails across the boards. I'll start with my most recent.

I had convinced myself that Damascus could search out greeks (likely cause it could grab Antiochus) and after explaining at length (multiple times) to another player as to why Damascus was included in my decklist he just casually drops something to the extent of "we are talking about TEC Damascus that can get out/back a gray Syrian or pharisee right?"

So one of mine and one of my former playgroup members.

Mine: Nationals 2012:

So I'm playing MitchRobStew in Type 2 - 2 Player.  I've already got a Destructive Sin on his The Strong Angel and had a huge banding chain to block his Captain of the Host.  I have another in hand with a Suicidal Swine Stampede (again with a huge banding chain).  So I just causally looked at his territory didn't see anything "threatening" so I decided to throw my DS on CoTH.  Next time he attacked he played a hero that I needless to say blocked with the huge banding chain.  He then plays a banding card to get his number above mine.  One of those cards just happens to be Paladin the Fighter (who was in his territory when I played DS) and my only evil enhancement was SSS!

My playgroup member played Type 2 - 2 Player the following year at Nationals and build a judges deck with the angel support only to find out first game, first turn Angel under the Oak had no Gideons in his deck to go protect!   :doh:
