What do you think is the best/worst evil civilization in the game so far?
-
Babs are very good if you know how to play them right... worst.. persians haha they have barely anything :/
-
What do you think is the best/worst evil civilization in the game so far?
the best might be Babs or Assyrians the worst probably Greeks or Persians.
-
Romans and Syrians are good when you have the right cards, especially capture cards. I think for worst its Persians and maybe Philistines, only because if you negate banding they are pretty useless I say.

Besieged........

Isn't that a yellow evil card?

Not Phillys, they have Goliath

Notice that Greeks only have the best EE in the game called A-Bom so I would not consider them the worst. Paired with Demons they can be very close to the best IMHO.

Best: Any civilization that refuses to begin all over again.
Worst: Any civilization that always likes to begin again.
;)

Greeks are fantastic. A-Bomb is insane, and Antiochus' ability owns all. Plus, Winged Leopard is immune to White (TGT), and Goat with Horn kills FBTN. They also work very well with orange.

What? Phillies don't band...Phillies are by far one of the best around. With just 4 characters, they are extremely potent, and don't need much back up to wreck havoc. They are recurrable too.
Syrians are the worst. Too much protection from capture, and Namaan is their only good character. Maybe they'll make a comeback this year, but they're really bad. Persians are down there, but I like Persian Presidents too much.

:amen:

I know Philistine are good with four characters but what if your opponents negates banding abilities you are left with hardly anythng. The best combo is Fallen Warrior and Overwhelmed by Philistines, if they have negated evil banding.
Syrians are good because grey has all those capture cards that go well with Raiders Camp so how are they the worst?
-
It's called that there is to much capture protection. Philistines don't use banding btw.

Then how do you explain Lahmi, Saph, and Ishbibenob who all say band to a warrior class philistine? Answer that!

buckler.

I've never seen any of those evil characters used in a philistine defense. Right now we are talking a defense like Goliath, 12fg, Armorbearer, and garrison. Lahmi, Saph, Ishbibenob will all be remade to black most likely and will probably not have band abilities. I should rephrase as main philistine defenses these past two years didn't use banding.

Philistine Priests and Fallen Warrior can also be thrown in, if you want a more balanced deck. When we talk civilizations, we generally refer to them by brigade, so the black ones are the ones that matter.
The best combo for Phillies is Falolen Warrior + Bringing Fear + Wrath of Satan. I used it 3(?) times at nationals to destroy all of my opponent's heroes, leaving them with nobody to use Chariots on.
-
Best? No clue, I have too many biases towards Egyptians and Herods to answer that
Worst: Persians, Not enough back up.

Did you forget overwhelmed by philistines? It is a stable in my philistine defense along with givin fallen warrior horses so I can draw and play next enhancement. Also overwhelmed is a instant win against all purple offenses.

Fallen Warrior is already low numbers he doesn't need horses, horses go on Phil and Gary or 12FG

Why did you make essentially the exact same thread as Mine(just evil orientated).

I wanted to know whot civilizations people thought were strong. I had no intention of copying your thread. Besides your's is all brigades and mine is civilizations they are two totally different things.

Worst: Persians, Not enough back up.
What are you talking about? They have:
(Evil): Haman (BL), Haman (BU), Haman (CL), Haman (CU), Haman (L), Haman (P), Haman (UL), Persian Presidents (RA), Prince of Persia (Pr), The Bear (RA), and Zeresh (Pi)
and haman, haman, more haman. some more haman. moar haman. cant get enough haman. Cant stop the haman train!

haman isnot enough to stop your opponent's heroes all the time

I agree Persian are pretty weak.

Overwhelmed by Philistines was one of my last adds to my giant black defense, since you need initiative (not easy to do with Philistines, unless you use Falolen Warrior, and I'm really not sure why you'd use that), and it's pretty much the only card you'd want to use for Philly Horses, so there's no reason to add that. The CBN against purple is too situational...especially with the new set out. I only faced two disciples decks at Nats. Maybe only one, now that I think of it. Bringing Fear/Wrath can be used against any offense and destroys it all, not just the ones in battle. You just need to stall long enough to nail them all.
-
I have faced against multiple disciple decks here and everytime been able to get red of at least 3 heroes with it plus more if I used Hunger along with it.

Every playgroup has at least a slightly different meta.

Just wondering Ring Wraith, but why would anyone not use Fallen Warrior in a Philistine defense. I've been able to get him up to the fifties with his ability alone by using discard searchers to keep getting overwhelmed. Plus, if your a wc class addict like me, the ability is easy to use.

The only reason you wouldn't have Fallen Warrior in your deck is because he doesn't fit in with a tiny defense.
If you have more than a 10 card defense, he should go in, be he isn't essential. The 4 powerful people + recur do enough and most of the useful enhancements are BBN or useful in BBN, but Fallen Warrior isn't.
-
Well my deck is a 125 card deck. So I like to have him in there.

That's O.K.
no worrys,
I'm not mad.
I just wondered.

I'm not mad at you, so if I seemed mad, my bad. I tend to get POed when people accuse me of things I didn't do.

I have too, but it's only great against disciples decks with it, any other brigade will interrupt it in a flash. Also, how are you able to get rid of at least 3 heroes with it if Disciples can only band two at a time (generally)? Hunger was really bad last year...it'll be much better this year due to not being able to live in the negatives when in battle.

Philistine's strength is in their interrupts. They run people out of their enhancements and beat them by superior numbers. Fallen Warrior is nice for initiative, but it's much better to make them waste their enhancements by interrupting them. The few CBN ones can be taken care of through neutral cards, and then you can recycle the character with Outpost. Once they're out of enhancements, you pick them off with your characters (CBN banding=Goliath, normal banding=12FG, non-banding=Garrison). The normal speed deck has 3-6 battle winners (including recurrability on enhancements), so the 4 interrupts should hold them.
Well my deck is a 125 card deck. So I like to have him in there.
That's a problem...you should probably cut it down to increase your odds of getting a better draw.
-
I've tried smaller decks but it doesn't work with me. Besides I like haveing 2 battle is the lord's for offense to force my opponent into a FBTN while I can still use my enhancement abilities.
