Title: Best Sleeves?
Post by: sepjazzwarrior on July 14, 2017, 12:20:18 PM
I would like to invest in some new sleeves for T2, looking for at least 115 sleeves that will last.  Any suggestions?

Ultra pros are fairly durable and come in packs of 60--probably your best bet for getting around the number you need without having to buy a ton extra.

Dragon Shield is the most durable but you'd have to buy 2 boxes which contain 100 each. The higher end ultra pros are pretty durable and cheaper. Just stay away from the cheapest sleeves and if you want them to last avoid sleeves with artwork or designs as those have very poor durability usually.

Jazz, the Ultra Pro (UP) sleeves and are high quality and durable. I sell several different kinds to include gloss front with various colors matte back, or matte front with various colors matte back. They come in packs of 50 ($3.25 each) or 100 ($5.95 each).

Here's a link to what I have. It's under the photo album Card Sleeves.

Let me know if you're interested.

Definitely dragonshield sleeves, I have them in a ton of colors and have been using them forever. They are great.

The new Ultra Pro Matte Eclipse sleeves are considered the best matte sleeves out there by alot of people.
(best thing Ultra Pro has really ever come out with ever :P)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxiLGKb4CIk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxiLGKb4CIk) that's a comparison of the top matte sleeves by Tolarian Community College.

The best place I have found to get them (in stock + low price + good shipping) is TrollAndToad http://www.trollandtoad.com/products/search.php?search_category=&search_words=ultra+pro+matte+eclipse+80ct&searchmode=basic (http://www.trollandtoad.com/products/search.php?search_category=&search_words=ultra+pro+matte+eclipse+80ct&searchmode=basic)

they come in packs of 80 so 2*$7 + $1 shipping for a grand total of $15 for 160 high quality matte sleeves :)

I've heard good things about Ultra Pro Eclipse sleeves but I have not had a chance to play with them. The two best sleeves out there are probably players choice and dragon Shields. I personally use Dragon Shields and so far are my favorite.

Ultra Pro Eclipse and Dragon Shield Matte are the best sleeves on the market. I haven't decided on which ones I'll use at nationals.

When I started playing back in '09, I got some Dragon Shields for my deck. I just replaced them last year, and although they were a little beaten up, they were far from unplayable. I can definitely vouch for their durability.

I second these. I've been using dragon shield for a year and a half now, and I love them! I just go some of the ultra pro eclips sleeves as well, about 2 weeks ago, and they are very nice as well.

I can third for Dragon Shields, definitely top of the line.

I prefer short sleeves in hot weather and long sleeves in cold weather.... :rollin:

In all seriousness, is dragon sleeves just that good?

Dragon Shield sleeves are probably your best bet if you're going for durability and longevity. You won't find any with graphics as far as I know though so if you're not satisfied with the simple bland colors then Legion has some pretty cool sleeves. I prefer the feel of matte sleeves as well. They tend to be a little tighter with the new format cards but they're easy to shuffle and feel nice.

Dragon Shields have Matte sleeves now actually.

Will 62mmX89mm sleeves fit redemption cards?
Title: Re: Best Sleeves?

No. Redemption cards are 2.5 in by 3.5 in, so those sleeves are slightly too small :(

Standard size protective sleeve - Measurements: 67x91mm

The tightest fit for sleeves that I've found is perfect fits. I'm not sure of the measurements but they are usually called perfect fits if you want to look them up. I'm currently using Dragonshield smoke perfect fits with dragon shield sleeves as well. Perfect fits are only meant as an extra layer of protection and not to replace standard sleeves though so I'm not sure what the tightest fit for standard sleeves is.
