I must say, I am very glad for all the soul generation in this set. Lack of soul access is probably my least favorite part of any game. I hope Heretics feel the hurt.

He might not be able to capture him, but he generates a soul that is not in a site.

That's what I was assuming you meant, too. Hosea creates an OT LS, which helps get around heretics in general. Hosea also helps create LSs not in a site to help avoid site lock-out.

That's why I suggested self-capture, to make sure that a NT heretic defense can still be circumvented.

If you really needed to you could capture one of your own characters.

Well, technically, he is the polar opposite of Raider's Camp. He is trying to generate LSs for rescue rather than prevent LSs from rescue. But, I know what you meant.  ;)

Just use my other example of capturing your own Disciples from Fishing Boat with Persian Presidents and put them in Raider's Camp, then get them back after your opponent's rescue if you really need that kind of thrill.  :P

Persians are fun, even if they don't necessarily win the game.  ;)

Since you will be adding some Lion's Den sites to make PerzPrez CBN, you could also add Media sites for a mini lockout, and add Goat with Two Horns to increase the potential number of set-aside heroes. PLus Goat can band to the Prez to increase the chance of the Prez surviving to repeat the process. Of course, the Prez usually gets initiative, so Haman's Plot is always fun!

Persians just need some more cards and they'd be quite good.

I mean, just look at the list of all printed Persians. I can't help but laugh at it.

•      (Good): Esther (BL), Esther (BU), Esther (L), Esther (P), and Esther (UL)
•      (Evil): Haman (BL), Haman (BU), Haman (CL), Haman (CU), Haman (L), Haman (P), Haman (UL), Persian Presidents (RA), Prince of Persia (Pr), The Bear (RA), and Zeresh (Pi)

There are more versions of Haman than there are Persians total.

That list is missing The Ram with Two Horns and the new version of Prince of Persia. I agree that is still slim pickings, but since Bear, Ram, and Prince are all brown/orange, you have two possible avenues:

1. Add other orange demons like KoT, Trembling Demon, and Deceiving Spirit
2. Add typical brown ECs like Uzzah, KingZed, and Gomer (in spite of that silly new Hosea  :P )

I think YMT just hit the big reason people will put this card in their decks - his very presence makes Gomer negateable. No more Gomer/KoT bands!

Hosea was definitely useful in playtesting, if not for anything more than giving one of the game's most popular EC's a severe check. However, he's definitely not the best hero you'll see new this year. Not even the best Green one...

I would think this would be more helpful in Type 2, but I do not speak from experience.

Hmmm, a green prophet that helps in Type 2...is that an 8-lb test, fluorocarbon leader attached to that card??   :o

...Not even the best Green one...

...and is that a shiny, trolling rig also attached?...

My guess is that the best Green one will be Ezekiel
