MY SOUTH TEXAS RR EDGE2025 EXPERIENCE:

First thing's first: I honor my very first Redemption at STX PowWow demo team leader Joe Schaefer (former RR).

Redemption has been featured annually at EDGE since 2018.

One of my core RR Redemption demo team members, Harrison G, who was barely 8 when he started teaching the game with me at the RR PowWow, on his 10th birthday in 2021 (now 14) taught the Cmdr Jason the game for the first time. Our very own Travis Matthews who taught more than a thousand at PowWows etc is his 'master'. I wud love to see Travis & Harrison one day at a Nats side event I intend to launch as an annual event at Nats2026: The 1st Annual Master-Padawan Teams Booster Draft. Harrison's brother (right) learned how to play Redemption at last year's PowWow after just lurking and helping set up the Redemption tent for a couple of years. God is unleashing His miracles for Redemption...indeed. God is good.

THE MASTER AND LEGEND is helping me teach the game today as demo team leader. The paper mats are his design. He has kept his Redemption fire burning at his church. Just like the RRs, Redemption Master Jedi Pastor Travis Brown is actively living the game without hosting or being at tournaments...for now...til he comes back from his competitive hiatus.




The Commander who made it happen for his sons. He is one of the numerous Redemption parents in history whose love for the game is cheering for and driving their children to the games. All hail to you Commander Anthony Gregory!

I wanted to share with you all a cool "planting the seeds" story with you from Nationals this year: Last summer a young man who used to be a part of our church youth group moved to Russellville, AR two hours away from where Nationals was in Rogers, AR. He is friends with all three boys who came to Nationals from my group. We picked this young man up on Wednesday on our way to Nationals just to hang out with his friends while we were in the area. He had never played Redemption and had no interest in it when he lived here in Oregon even though I invited him to the group. He showed up to Nationals on Thursday and by the end of the day had become quite interested in the game even though he had never played. He bought a whole box of Cloud of Witnesses on Thursday and that night opened it and pulled a copy of The Second Coming. All three teens in my group were excited for him and helped build him a deck of his own even giving him some of their own cards to make it happen. They stayed up late teaching him to play the game. On Friday he played Type 1 and played all 10 rounds. He even managed to win a game. He is a big fan of Redemption now and has been connected with the local Arkansas play group. His story is the highlight to me out of all of Nationals this year.

Let us all clear both YTG and Terry Markoff of their vendor tables by going home today with all their products. There will most likely be a bit more discounts as both stores try to lighten their loads back home. Make a leap of faith w ur wallets, plastics, and pay apps to make ur final purchases before they pack up for the day. Thank you Andy and Terry for providing us with amazing goodies!!!

Doors open tomorrow at 7am.
Deck check begins at 7:30.
Things needed at deck check:
Deck (sleeved), list, reserve sheet.
If you're bringing an abnormally sized deck the expectation is you're first in line.
Morning announcements/Roll call is 8:30. You do not want to be rolling in to deck check with a 100 card deck at 8:30.
Play will begin promptly at 9am.
Anticipated players is 70+, anticipated rounds is 10.
