After working in scientific research for many years, my family felt called to ministry at Oakdale Christian Academy, so we agreed to serve here for 2 years.  Time has gone by quickly and I am now teaching for the 10th year.  It has been a wonderful experience, and we have been honored to have been a part of the transformational work of God here.

However it has come time for us to transition from our ministry here to discover the next step that God is leading us toward.  I suspect that I will be returning to scientific research for a time, and that my wife and I will do some training and preparation for foreign missionary service in the future.

I would appreciate your prayers for my family during this transition as we will be leaving many dear friends as well as the only home that any of our 4 children remember living in.  Another sad thing for my kids is that our family bunny died yesterday after 6.5 years with us.

We know that God has a good plan for our family (Jer 29:11) and that He will work all these things for good (Rom 8:28).  But it is still painful emotionally for us and for those we leave behind to continue the work here.  Please pray for them as well.

Praying!

Any chance you'll be coming to MN State for one last tournament?  :)
Actually my daughter is getting baptized the same weekend, and we will be having some out-of-state company related to that.  So it's unlikely that we'll be able to make it.  Perhaps I'll be able to carpool with someone to NC Regionals in Iowa, but I'll have to see when that is.  There's also a good chance that it will end up being while I'm on a business trip to AR.  If so, then I don't know if I'll get another chance to play in a tournament before leaving the country :(

Good luck in your new ministry. Where God leads He also equips.  ;D
I completely agree!

Praying!
Thanks!
