Wow, this week just keeps getting worse...

So, I casually go onto facebook this morning... and noticed that one of my good friends from high school was tagged in an album... for a group. My heart dropped when I saw the words "In Memory of" and I realized that this friend... was now gone.

My friend Katelyn died in a car accident the day after my grandma did, February 14th, in a car accident that happened because of icy roads. We had just gotten back in touch a couple of months ago, and talked on facebook and over AIM. She was a freshman in college at this point.

Katelyn was a friend from church. Her dad, Daryl, was like a dad to me, and we always spent time together. She loved to hang out with me and Kelly, a friend who I still have and haven't gotten in touch with yet about this. She was about 4-5 years younger than us, but we were the most awesome people ever to her. I believe she knew the Lord... I pray that she did.

Please pray for her family. She was Daryl's only child... and she was his world. I think that he is probably devastated... I would like to get his address and get in touch with him again. Please pray for me, because my nerves are shot, and I'm heartbroken. Between her and my grandma I'm just a mess.

Marti I completely understand this.  A few months ago I looked at one of my friends' facebook pages and they had an "In Memory of" set of photos for two people I knew in high school and it was really hard for me because I didn't have a clue it happened.  I'll be praying for the family.
