Hey,
Three weeks ago, a kid who graduated last year from my school died in a car accident. He still has siblings in my school.
Last week, this kid in my school got into an accident during Halloween. He got hit by a car while trick or treating or running cross country (people are not sure which one). Im more inclined to say the former. ANyway, he was recovering well, but yesterday morning, something bad happened and he is now on life support. This afternoon, rumors broke out that he was dead. Fortunately, he is not. He is still on life support. He lost brain function, but there is still a chance. He is only a sophomore. Please pray that he can pull through.
Also, in addition, pray for this senior who got beat up in the school cafeteria by a Super Senior two weeks ago. Our school has not seen violence in a while but two weeks ago, there were three fights in two days. One ended up in youtube, the last one ended up with a guy goin to jail and a guy in a hospital. This is a shocker because my school is considered one of the top schools where violence is really rare. His head was slammed into the cafeteria table three times. His eyes rolled back. There was blood. It was pretty brutal. Anyway, it opened the eyes of so many people. This guy is still in the hospital in a coma.
PLease pray for these people and their family, especially Michael Wolkis, the sophomore who got hit. These three week event really had an impact in our school. I guess God works in mysterious ways.

The kid already passed away the morning after I posted this thread. He was one of the nicest kids in school. What is surprising is how he opened the eyes of people... those kids who made fun of him, pushed him in the lockers, are probably in shock.
The funeral was today. A lot of teachers, students, including the entire xcountry/track team attended the funeral. The aura was unbelievable.
What's hard to perceive is how his parents handled the situation... how they were able to handle their child, who they just sent out on one halloween night to go trick or treating, just to find out he was hit by a car, and a couple of days later, lost complete brain functions. It was definitely tough to decide to pull the plug. The parents decided at the end to donate all his organs including a healthy heart. That's fifteen different people he can save. The parents started an organization called Miles for Smiles dedicated for neurotic problems and such. The story was told all over school, in facebook, on AIM, and it never failed to give goosebumps... the death of a young innocent sophomore. Life is complicated. God works in mysterious ways. Only the good die young.
Rest in Peace.
