If the video on the website is to be believed, he was simply standing there praying the rosary, not talking to anyone, and definitely not blocking the door.

Reading the letter of the law seems to suggest he would still be in violation of it however. If he was near the door, which he seems to have been, he most certainly would have, at some point, been within 8 feet of a woman entering the clinic within the illegal 50 foot barrier around the clinic.
That being said, it seems as if the Clinic most likely brought him to the attention of authorities regardless of whether he was being disruptive or not simply because they did not want him there. However, he does seem to have been in violation of the law, FWIW.
