After nearly 12 months of unemployment, and many days of wonder and concern, I am delighted to report that I have been blessed with a position at Anne Arundel Community College as a Research Analyst! Thank you all for your prayers in the past as well as prayers for how I can be God's instrument in this new venture!

With each blessing comes new challenges, but that's the perfect time for God to show us how awesome He is and how much He loves his kids! So, I am nearing the end of my dissertation proposal stage, but I am running out of energy, and out of time to get it finished before the deadline if I want to defend this semester. I have been feeling drained mentally and probably physically too when I stop to consider it. Work has gone great, my team is amazing, I just want to be done with this "passport" to my seminal research work. So, if you could lift me today for a moment in prayer, I'd greatly appreciate it...

Forgot to give this an update! Still working on the proposal (committee wanted a second draft, apparently perfection doesn't come the first time !). Hoping to turn it in to them by Friday so that I can defend by the end of the month. I know one day this will all be worth it, but from time to time I have debated about its value . Very thankful for great work opportunities to use the skills God has given me, just eager to get started with my own research!

As it's five minutes till midnight, I won't post very long, but I hope to update it tomorrow. Long story short, I defend my dissertation in 10 hours, the culimination of all of my work these past 4+ years in the timeframe of one 2 hour session. Prayers for peace, clarity, wisdom, and guidance greatly appreciated. Hopefully when I post next you can refer to me as Dr. Coverdale! Love you all!

So sorry! I forgot to update this! I adequately defended my dissertation and after about probably 10-20 hours more of edits will be able to submit a final copy of my work to the grad school and officially be recognized as Dr. Coverdale (but they told me I could say I was for the time being anyway ). Thank you all for your prayers of encouragement and support!

So apparently life has been hectic and crazy and I neglected to post pictures and events of what's happening in our lives. First, let me GREATLY apologize for not posting that our newest Redemption player entered the world on August 18th. Meet Evan Daniel Coverdale!

And in other exciting news, I was offered a position with Howard Community College to work with faculty to help them better understand student outcomes, so I will be starting there in November. The next step is starting the search for a house (6 years of living in apartments is a bit too much!). Hope all are well!

Congrats on the child!  I will speak from recent experience, that it goes WAY too fast!  It seems like my little girl should still be a couple of months old and she will be 9 months this week!  Also glad to hear about finding something a little more permanent.  I wish I could speak to that experience!  😛
